Core Responsibilities
- Scouting: Discover and research new manufacturing technologies and follow trends that can support our Design colleagues.
- Collaboration: Actively engage with cross functional teams across the organization to facilitate thorough and smooth innovation.
- Documentation: Assist in documenting processes, procedures, and outcomes for knowledge sharing and future reference to ensure a successful handover to the teams being responsible for maturing and scaling.
- Implementation: Build evidence for technical development justification and the opportunities that would be exploited
- Build capabilities: Design and source the tools and equipment to bring something from idea to prototype
- Translation: See opportunities in exploiting technologies from other industries for our use

Technology Innovation & Development is a team of 24 colleagues in LEGO Processing, whose current responsibility it is, to transform moulded parts into decorated and factory assembled LEGO products. The main goal is to Innovate, develop and implement the next generation of Processing capabilities. With the intention to create more impact for the company we see a need to strengthen our innovation.
Implementing new manufacturing techniques and technologies will also support other parts of The LEGO Group to continue delivering unique world class play experiences into the market.
Do you have what it takes
The ideal candidate should come with a broad experience, appreciation of manufacturing technology, and a HUGE technical curiosity.
Moreover, you could have:
- Problem-solving skills to identify technical challenges and propose effective solutions
- Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
- Basic knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create or modify 3D models
- The ability to work self-directed, take initiative and be proactive
- Drive to develop a network across large organizations and industry
- Comfortable working on several projects with different objectives and timelines.
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to present subjective and objective data
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
