Core Responsibilities

Sustainable Operations is looking for an outstanding professional to drive business insights and analytics, with a tactical approach and curiosity about sustainability. The main priority is to enable development and roll-out of our sustainability strategy in Operations – reducing energy/CO2, water, and waste through digital enablers to support decision making.

  • Bridging the sustainable team/agenda towards our digital departments, to secure automated processes and reports for sustainability data.
  • Driving the automation of processes, data capture, pipelines, and data models in collaboration with relevant partners.
  • Engagement in the architecture of new systems and factories to secure the sustainable agenda and the ability to follow up on our progression towards a zero roadmap for a strengthened sustainability data/reporting foundation. You will be working tightly with our data colleagues and possible contributing in the development process or design (Power-BI).
  • Responsibility for supporting sustainability KPI’s/reporting, with deep insight in the underlying architecture for our relevant systems (both current and future).
  • Digitally enabling our Agile project portfolio in collaboration with our team and collaborators, and ensuring data is applied, visualized, and communicated.

Sustainable Operations is the global department within LEGO Group that lead the change journey towards zero impact in our factories. We lead, design, and implement sustainable solutions primarily within energy/CO2, water, and waste - in a circular approach, which means eliminating negative impact on our local and global environment. Sustainable Operations is moreover responsible for handling the global portfolio for energy, water, and waste reductions, tracking of realized reductions towards zero-impact, and the programme office for sustainability in Engineering & Workplace. We identify and implement reduction projects in close collaboration with the production sites and other partners.

Do you have what it takes

To be successful in this position, we imagine a person with high data literacy whilst at the same time being able to zoom out and relate to the bigger picture. A natural, detail-oriented leader with excellent communication, able to see and challenge inconsistencies in data and seek resolution. Your collaboration skills being able to establish positive relationships with partners and colleagues at all levels. In addition, you bring:

  • A general understanding and experience with system architecture - identifying and utilizing data from these.
  • Insight in Cloud solutions and basic understanding of AWS and Azure data capabilities, such as Data Lakes, Data Bricks, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to develop professional communication material for senior leadership and bridge dialogue between business and IT/BI.
  • Experience with data modelling and visualizations tools, preferably Power-BI and Tabular Models, and a natural technical curiosity in modern ways of approaching data utilization.
  • Experience with project management or CRM tools, to support our sustainable project portfolio, preferably experience from Monday.com
