Core Responsibilities 

  • Design & implement global and local processes for employment tax area in close collaboration with HR department, strategic Tax function and Hire-2-Retire process specialists. 

  • Connecting the dots between business needs, technology and tax & legal requirements, and create sustainable global processes fit for our GBS structure.  

  • Ensure process standardization & process documentation.  

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks by implementing relevant controls and governance structures 

  • Collaborate with Strategic Tax & Customs team, Global Process Owner, IT, and other key partners for effective management. 

  • Identify areas of inefficiency or user struggles and recommend/drive business process optimization and customer experience interventions.

You will join our Business Process & Information (BPI) organization; a global Center of Excellence team of more than 70 dedicated colleagues. BPI is part of Business Service Operations and our responsibilities cover global process ownership of Finance, Tax & HR processes as well as process expertise and interaction on end-to-end processes within P2P, O2C, R2R and H2R. In BPI we are gatekeepers and enablers of process excellence, and our main purpose is to develop and maintain efficient and sustainable processes that bridge business needs with digital solutions. 

As Employment Tax Process Manager, you will lead in crafting, optimizing, and maintaining global and local employment tax processes. Collaborating with internal and external partners, as well as IT and tax specialists, you'll transform legal requirements into efficient system solutions for operational efficiency. In our project-based environment, your role encompasses strategic projects, legislative implementation, and continuous process optimization. Staying current with employment tax landscape changes and technological developments is crucial, enabling you to articulate relevant impacts and actions for our company.  

Do you have what it takes? 

  • Proven expertise in the employment tax area within an international company, or consultancy industry is preferred.

  • Knowledgeable in tax technology solutions such as software and/or analytics.  

  • Comprehensive understanding of e2e business processes in a global consumer goods company is a plus. 

  • Experience with Workday, or other Hire to Retire solutions and SAP competencies is considered an advantage. 

  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex issues in a user-friendly language. 

  • Strong relationship-building skills across functional areas and diverse cultures. 

  • Ability to focus on details while maintaining a well-rounded end-to-end approach and strategic awareness. 

  • Emphasis on curiosity and a proactive, business-minded attitude, valuing respect and knowledge sharing within the team. 

  • A limited number of business travel days (range 0-15 days per year) may be expected
