This is a unique opportunity to join the LEGO® SMART Play System journey as a Data Validation Manager Specialist, where you will strengthen statistical practices, improve data quality, and ensure that key product decisions are based on solid analysis. You will play a central role in validating, analyzing, and communicating data across development and manufacturing to enable world-class product performance.

Core Responsibilities

In this new position, you will support our data-driven journey by strengthening statistical practices, improving data quality, and building capabilities. You will ensure that specifications, approvals, and process controls are based on solid analysis, enabling more stable processes, faster development, and higher product quality.

You will play a key role in the data for our newly launched, LEGO SMART Play System, ensuring its accuracy and reliability through validation and analysing, while clearly communicating insights and training stakeholders across the organization. You will operate both on local and global levels. More specifically, you will:

  • Analyze measurement, process, and quality data to enable data-driven decision-making. 

  • Drive capability studies, including Cp/Cpk analysis, hypothesis testing, and Design of Experiments (DOE). 

  • Support subject approval and qualification processes through statistical documentation and data validation.

  • Lead and support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities in development and production projects.

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights to support product development and continuous improvement.

  • Communicate and share data insights clearly across teams and stakeholders to enable alignment and action.

  • Develop dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations to support process monitoring and management reporting.

  • Prepare and present clear, structured reports on data trends and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Lead capability building within Data Science, Six Sigma, and statistical methods across the organization. 

  • Champion a strong data-driven culture, continuously identifying opportunities to innovate and maximize value creation.

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will join our Element & Mould Validation (EMV) team, which serves as the final validation and qualification point before manufacturing. The team ensures that all elements and moulds are delivered according to the right standards, specifications and timelines. Furthermore, they act as the bridge between innovation/development and industrialisation/manufacturing, while safeguarding the integrity of the LEGO® building system. 

The team, located in Billund, Denmark, consists of 11 highly specialized colleagues with strong expertise across the value chain. 

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in similar roles working with Data Validation & Qualification, preferably gained from an engineering, manufacturing, or quality environment. In addition, you bring a strong end-to-end value chain understanding and experience in data analysis and statistics, including data cleaning, validation, visualization, etc. Furthermore, you have: 

  • Engineering educational background with knowledge about Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent technical field.

  • Solid know-how about injection moulding and plastics. 

  • Strong experience with SPC, Cp/Cpk, control charts, and capability analysis. 

  • Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience using visualization tools similar to Volume Graphics and PiWeb to analyze and communicate data insights.

  • Experience working with SAP or similar systems.

  • Strong skills in communicating complex validation results and data-driven insights in a structured way to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal.

It will be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with automated reporting and dashboards (Microsoft Power Bi, Tableau or similar tools), as well as measurement systems analysis (MSA/GR&R), specification setting, and tolerance analysis

  • Experience working with digitalization or data transformation projects.
