Core Responsibilities

Besides providing legal sparring/advice and coordinate legal work in relation to our digital technology and digitalisation plans, you will also be responsible for:

  • Structuring, drafting, negotiating and/or approving commercial contracts and procurement contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents within digital and general commercial legal areas

  • Representing/advocating or coordinating such representation/advocacy in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities

  • Leading resources, prioritization and spend in the responsibility area together with the team leader

  • Assessing and handling legal risk of IT projects with a view to intellectual property rights and their regulatory environment

  • Providing relevant advice with AI and metaverse, GDPR/privacy laws/E-privacy as well as Consumer protection to the business

You will join “Digital, eCommerce and Marketplaces” legal team in Billund. We are supporting our global Digital Technology organisation, our online retail business and conducting our IP enforcement online. We are specifically focused on legal issues relating to key digital areas, working very closely with other colleagues internally.

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful in this position we imagine that you are great teammate, who thrive in a dynamic environment. You have a pro-active “can-do” attitude and strong business partner mentality and have the ability to make quick decisions and quick assessments. Furthermore you have:

  • Law school/university degree in law (LL.M or a corresponding degree)

  • Qualification as an Attorney-At-Law (bar exam) (if applicable/required in your location)

  • 4 years of post-graduate international legal experience from inhouse or private practice within relevant legal fields

  • Preferably specialisation within, and proven experience working with legal issues related to the IT space, emerging technologies, digitalisation, consumer protection, privacy and e-privacy areas as well as the ecommerce business

  • Direction setting, making strategic prioritisations, and thinking strategically

  • Good general understanding of commercial laws, intellectual property laws, competition law and commercial contracts

  • Proven experience drafting and reviewing complex technology, IT and/or digital commercial contracts as well as solid experience drafting private consumer terms and conditions

  • Legal curiosity as well as appetite and ability to learn new skills quickly as well as the willingness to follow through on tasks to completion
