Core Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of Head of LEL Compliance participate in the: Screening, Onboarding, Operation, Exiting of LEGO Licensing partners and manufactures in our Licensing and Extended Line (LEL) division.
  • Ensure that Partners are introduced and follow our test protocols on Product Safety, supported by the Product Safety and Compliance team.
  • Ensure that the Responsible Business Principles (RBP) is followed by our licensees via our audit program and other due diligence activities.
  • In collaboration with LEL collaborators, Responsible Sourcing Operations (RSO) and internal colleagues in the LEL Compliance team, support selection of licensing partners and negotiate relevant LEGO Group requirements in the contracts.
  • Share input on the creation and implementation of continuous improvement mechanisms.
  • React immediately on any suspicion or proof of non-compliance at any manufacturer producing LEGO licensed products.
  • Engage in the audit management system and enhance partner information for reporting, fixing, and analysing.
  • Daily correspondence with Licensing partners.
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Quality Manager in QMC, engage in the technical audit program and product safety evaluations for LEL.

The LEL Compliance team aims to ensure that the LEGO Groups Outbound License (Licensing) partners and manufactures are living up to the LEGO Group requirements in close collaboration with relevant partners (collaborators) in Licensing & Extended Line (LEL) who formally is responsible for the Licensees.

These requirements can be split in product safety and supplier quality requirements as set out by Corporate Quality & EHS and ethical, social and sustainability requirements as set out in the LEGO Group Responsible Business Principles (RBP) that all strategic suppliers and license licensing partners must adhere to.

Do you have what it takes

Our Licensing Partners make a wide range of products, across garments, homeware and publishing, so we are looking for someone with experience across a range of products, with preference for experience wilt managing licensing programmes.

We envision a colleague with outstanding collaboration skills that enable you to spot brave solutions and making a difference for both the LEGO Group and our License partners by bringing:

  • Experience in handling social compliance or supplier quality management within retail or supply chains, for an international/global brand.
  • Experienced in problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in supplier selection and contract negotiation - confidentiality when dealing with conflict and legal teams.
  • Confident in mapping and assessing partner risk and presenting this to key collaborators.
  • Flexible to travel within Europe (UK, DK) with some long-haul trips possible (e.g. Asia 1 time per year).
