LEGO STUDIOS BACKLOT KEY COMMANDS
SAVE GAME: Completed game levels (1, 2, & 3) are saved automatically after logging in at the end of the first level. Having registered and being logged in as a LEGO Club member is required to play the second and third levels. After doing this, the "LOAD SAVED GAME" button is no longer greyed out.
NOTE: If the log-in page does not automatically launch after receiving your Studio Pass at the end of Level 1, close the game window and click on the log-in link on the Backlot main page.
WALK: Use the arrow keys.
RUN: Hold down Z while using the arrow keys.
JUMP: Use the SPACEBAR.
TALK: Press CONTROL when standing next to the person you want to talk to.
USE: Press CONTROL when facing a button, stuntman catapult, or other things.
OPEN DOOR: Press CONTROL when facing door.
OPEN/CLOSE BACKPACK: Press SHIFT to open or close your backpack.
SELECT ITEM IN BACKPACK: While the backpack is open, use your arrow keys to switch to a different item.
USE ITEM IN BACKPACK: While the backpack is open, press CONTROL to use the currently selected item (map, pistol, key, binoculars, etc.).
GIVE ITEM IN BACKPACK: While the backpack is open, press CONTROL to give the currently selected item to someone. Make sure you are standing next to the person you want to give it to.
ANSWER QUESTIONS: Use the NUMBER KEYS (1, 2, 3) to choose one of the answers.

The LEGO Studios
Backlot game uses advanced Shockwave 3D technology and may require
adjustments on some computers.
You may be able to improve the game's
performance by right-clicking on the game and selecting "Properties" from
the pull-down menu. Choose DirectX, OpenGL, or Software Rendering from the
pop-up menu, until you find one that works best for you.
If for some reason you do not see a spinning crate above, here
are some things that might fix it:
The movie above may be working but not displaying properly.
Make certain you have the latest driver software for your video card.
To do this you need to determine the card's manufacturer and download
and install the latest drivers from their website.
You may not have the latest version of Shockwave, and for some reason
it is not updating properly. Go to Macromedia's
download center to install the latest version.
