Job Description
- MD&I Moulding is a global team of project managers and technology specialists responsible for overseeing the technology behind the entire moulding production process, from the initial silo building to the final product being placed into a plastic box. We drive technology development that aligns with LEGO’s goals of safety, performance, and sustainability, and manage the planning and implementation of machinery in our factories worldwide.
- This role, based in Mexico, serves as a critical link to our largest production site. The primary focus is on partners management and communication, project planning and execution, and adapting quickly to the dynamic production environment. You, along with your colleagues, play a vital role in enabling the production of LEGO’s core product: the moulded element. You will lead a complex network of stakeholders, including Production, Procurement, EHS, Finance, global engineers, and global workplace projects, to ensure smooth implementation and clear delineation of responsibilities between global and local stakeholders.
Core responsibilities
- Representative of MD&I Moulding in Mexico, both towards the operations leadership team and local partners.
- Drive structured project management governance, ensuring clear communication flows, aligned priorities, and timely escalation of changes, risks, and support needs across Denmark and Mexico.
- Lead high-impact strategic projects in Mexico, such as capacity expansion, technology implementation, technology development, and machine relocation and installation.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in collaboration with both the MD&I Global team and MD&I Mexico.
- Act as a catalyst for professionalizing ways of working by mentoring and supporting MD&I Moulding project managers, strengthening project governance, and enabling consistent, high-quality project execution.
- Support and drive organizational change by establishing clear structures, acting as a skilled facilitator in targeted workshops, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and securing the effective adoption of new processes and ways of working across teams.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in leading projects with diverse scopes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in automation projects and managing suppliers of equipment and machinery.
- Excellent indirect people leadership skills, effective with both internal collaborators and external suppliers.
- Lead continuous improvement in both products and processes.
