**Billund, Denmark – September 24, 2024** – Today, the LEGO Group revealed two new sets as part of the LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™ range. With the likes of Super Shadow, Biolizard and many more, fans will be able to start 2025 right as they bring to life these iconic characters and locations from across the Sonic universe in LEGO brick form. 

These two sets were announced as part of the annual Sonic Central livestream during a very special call between LEGO Sonic, LEGO Shadow and LEGO Dr. Eggman. More details on the new sets can be found below: 
 - **LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™: Sonic’s Campfire Clash** (77001) will allow fans to join Sonic as he relaxes in front of a cosy campfire, before protecting the Chaos Emerald from the villainous clutches of G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter. This 177-piece set will throw you straight into the action as you launch Sonic in his speed sphere at the enemy robots to rescue Tocky and collect some Gold Rings along the way. 
 - **LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™ Super Shadow vs. Biolizard** (77003) tasks fans with the mighty challenge of defending the Space Colony ARK from Biolizard. With the help of Super Sonic, Super Shadow and the speed sphere launcher, find Biolizard’s weak spots, while trying to avoid his stud launchers and powerful jaws and retrieve the Chaos Emerald before it’s too late. The only question left to answer is, who’s faster, Super Shadow or Super Sonic? 

These reveals follow new additions to the LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™ range from earlier in the year, including **LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™: Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster** (76999). This set provides Sonic fans the ultimate adventure as Super Sonic and Shadow team up against Dr. Eggman and his Egg Drillster. As the villainous Dr. Eggman begins his quest to capture animals to power his Egg Pawn Badnik and a ‘reprogrammed’ Gun Wing, builders will be able to load Super Sonic into the speed sphere and save the day!

**Billund - June 23rd, 2023** – Today, the LEGO Group and SEGA have revealed two exciting pieces of news as part of their collaboration, with an additional building set bringing cherished characters and scenes from the Sonic universe to LEGO brick form, as well as new LEGO content in the hotly-anticipated upcoming *Sonic Superstars,* Sonic the Hedgehog’s latest video game adventure bringing a new standard of play to classic high-speed 2D Sonic platforming.

The two announcements were made live as part of the annual Sonic Central livestream to mark the iconic hedgehog’s birthday, and LEGO fans can soon say hello to Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot building set, featuring the villainous Dr. Eggman and Sonic in his Speed Sphere. 

In this new 615-piece set, Dr. Eggman has a mech with a removable capsule which contains the small and adorable animals captured by Dr. Eggman and used to power up his suit. Alongside his assistant Cubot, Dr. Eggman will face Sonic in a showdown, with Sonic able to blast into him in his Speed Sphere to release the animals and save the day. The set will be a part of the new LEGO Sonic product range and available at authorized retailers starting in August 2023.

“We’re a little over 30 days away from LEGO Sonic hitting shelves, and we’re thrilled to reveal Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot as the fifth entry in our fantastic range of building experiences,” said Frédéric Roland Andre, Designer at the LEGO Group. “Sonic Central is the perfect setting to introduce LEGO and Sonic fans to this amazingly villainous new set, and we can’t wait for Sonic fans of all ages to get their hands on the blue blur in LEGO brick form this summer.”

Also announced as part of Sonic Central was a new LEGO Sonic themed expansion pack for the upcoming title, *Sonic Superstars*. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to get free LEGO Sonic & Eggman skins with the latter being available to those who pre-order the game adding plenty of brick-built fun to the title that will offer a new spin on classic 2D Sonic platforming games with an all-new look, new abilities, new worlds to explore, 4-player co-op, battle mode, and more for multiple generations of Sonic fans.

*Sonic Superstars* is set to release digitally and physically in fall 2023, starting at $59.99 USD on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems, and PC. Additional details regarding packages and future LEGO Sonic themed content will be revealed at a later date.

With the new range, Sonic fans can get creative, construct their own unique courses, combine sets and invent new storylines, or reminisce about their treasured memories as they challenge the beloved hedgehog to be the hero of the day.

**4th February 2021**: LEGO Ideas® today announced they will be bringing SEGA’s® legendary speedster, Sonic the Hedgehog™, to brick form, thanks to a concept design submitted by 24 year-old, UK based, LEGO® superfan Viv Grannell.  Viv, also a passionate Sonic fan, created her design as a submission to the LEGO Ideas® platform, a LEGO initiative that takes new ideas that have been imagined and voted for by fans and turns them into reality.    

Viv’s design was inspired by SEGA’s critically acclaimed 2017 platformer experience *Sonic Mania™*, and features iconic characters and environments from the game’s Green Hill Zone level.  Once the design was completed, it achieved the prerequisite 10,000 votes from LEGO fans worldwide – before being greenlit to go into production by the LEGO Group.   

Talking about the winning idea, Viv Grannell said; “I’ve been invested in the world of Sonic for almost my entire life, and it’s such a perfect fit for the LEGO system that I spent about a year rallying support for it to happen. Having 10,000 people back my design was overwhelming enough, even with friends and family behind me, but having it be selected for further development was the most exciting secret I have ever had to keep!” 

The Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone LEGO Ideas® design will now go into the product development phase, in partnership with SEGA® and once finalised will be available worldwide. The Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone LEGO Ideas® design is the ultimate embodiment of Sonic the Hedgehog’s™ past and future as the franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary this June. Featuring a wide variety of elements inspired by Classic Sonic, the set will provide LEGO collectors and Sonic fans alike a truly supersonic LEGO experience.
