Job Description

Core Responsibilities
Build the ESG compliance agenda by partnering with Legal, Governance & Public Affairs and key partners to identify, interpret, and assess emerging ESG and human rights regulations aligned with sustainability and responsible sourcing goals
Turn regulation into action by building multi-year compliance roadmaps and mitigation plans, inspire change management, and supporting embedding requirements into operations and supplier practices - especially within Procurement, in close partnership with Sustainable Sourcing
Lead global EU Deforestation Regulations compliance, owning the overall roadmap and governance while coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking progress, risks, and milestones establishing ownership in and transition to business.
Drive compliance for Forced Labour and Battery regulations by monitoring legislative developments, mobilizing business teams, and establishing effective governance and reporting
Strengthen risk oversight by supporting partner investigations, screenings, and value chain risk assessments
Enable cross-functional delivery by supporting Responsible Sourcing governance to ensure effective collaboration and execution of LEGO Group priorities

Sustainability is a globally based team leading the strategic planning and target setting, providing thought leadership and strong program management enabling our high sustainability ambitions and drive impact both inside and outside the LEGO Group through a commercial logic. The team is led by our Chief Sustainability Officer reporting directly into the CEO.
This role is anchored in the Human Rights & ESG Compliance team who lead and oversees the LEGO Group Human Rights Strategy and policies, and who drives ESG Compliance, due diligence and transparency efforts. The role will report into the Senior Director, Human Rights & ESG Compliance.
Do you have what it takes?
Masters' or other relevant degree such as law, social science, or business administration or similar experience
Proven expertise within ESG and human rights compliance & regulations (EU CSDDD, EUDR. EUBR etc.), corporate compliance & ethics, supply chain & sustainability
Demonstrated success in program development, project & change management and driving cross-functional collaboration; ability to quickly adjust plans to meet regulatory changes or business needs
Advanced communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills from mapping to analysis of risks and design of practical solutions & programs
Experience working for a global brand and/or in global teams; highly proficient in both spoken and written English is a requirement
A hands-on, pragmatic personality passionate about problem-solving and dedicated to delivering outcomes
