Core Responsibilities

In the role of Security and Crisis Manager Specialist, you will work in a dynamic setting with rapidly shifting priorities. Close cooperation with your team and other partners is vital. Your duties will include:

  • Lead global crisis management efforts by identifying potential risks, maintaining and activating crisis management and contingency plans, and ensuring resources are in place to respond effectively. Act as overall accountable for all global emergency and contingency planning.

  • Participate actively in the Crisis Support Team, serve as the meeting secretary, and ensure complete documentation when the crisis management structure is activated.

  • Ensure fast assessment, mobilization, and mitigation actions while maintaining business continuity across all impacted areas.

  • Serve as a central operational collaborator with the Business Continuity Management (BCM) function by ensuring close coordination between Security operations, crisis readiness, and continuity planning.

  • Manage internal and external communication throughout crises, including executive briefings, updates for collaborators, and media handling. Maintain strong relationships with internal partners, external participants, and regulatory bodies to secure alignment and trust.

  • Work cooperatively with various groups and collaborators worldwide.

  • Coordinate training sessions, simulations, and continuous advancement within the crisis management framework while contributing to strategic and technical progress in the Global Command Centre.

  • Lead global crisis management by identifying risks, maintaining contingency plans, and ensuring resources are ready for effective response.

  • Provide decisive leadership during crises, coordinate the crisis management team, and ensure fast assessment, mobilization, and mitigation actions.

  • Manage internal and external communication, including executive briefings, stakeholder updates, and media handling, while maintaining strong relationships.

  • Design and deliver global training programs, workshops, and simulation exercises to build organizational resilience and awareness of crisis roles.

  • Conduct post-crisis reviews, document lessons learned, update policies, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Support the evolution of the Global Command Centre by driving strategic development, IT and technical innovation, and scalable security solutions.

  • Maintain high-quality documentation, accurate reporting, and structured communication of crisis activities, risk assessments, plans, and post-incident reviews.

You will join our Crisis & Business Continuity Management Center in Billund, which operates as an independent entity within the Global Security Organization.

Within the LEGO Group, the Global Security Organization cares for both people and assets. Its key function is to preserve business continuity by defending the company and its employees against serious security incidents and guaranteeing swift reactions to such events. This role also involves managing safety during various events and travel security.

The team has 15 skilled and dedicated colleagues from diverse age groups, educational backgrounds, and experience levels. A great sense of humor, positivity, and a feeling of belonging form the foundation of our daily collaboration and communication.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate has proven experience with Security & Crisis Management, Security Operations, Risk Assessment, Emergency management or equivalent, preferably from a global organisation. Furthermore, you have:

  • Solid knowledge of crisis management frameworks, contingency planning, and emergency response protocols, including accountability for global emergency plans.

  • Excellent collaborator management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executive leadership, external partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Analytical and systematic problem-solving skills, with the capacity to assess risks, think strategically, and provide practical, commercially focused solutions.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in agile and changing environments, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and decisive leadership.

  • Experience in providing training and awareness programs, particularly in crisis management and contingency planning, across various international teams.

  • Customer focused approach, ensuring deliverables meet certified requirements and align with organizational and client expectations.

  • Adaptability and cultural understanding, knowing when to be persistent and when to challenge the status quo.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
