The castle now sits in my sitting room for everyone to see. I would recommend this to any Disney fans especially if you want a bit of a challenge . I also loved all the little details that reference lots of different Disney movies too! As the title of my review said I LOVED IT!!Level of DifficultyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Value for MoneyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Build Time: 7 hrsBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?55The Disney Castle

I don't want to get into too much discussion with how beautiful and detailed the castle is because it is and the description already does a good job of elaborating over all of the details. Check out the time-lapse video to see the Castle built in 31 seconds. As an added bonus, you can also check out the magical disappearing grapes right in front of your eyes. Personally, I think the pricing is on the high side but it is Lego and Disney after all. - August 21st, 2016Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Clever design, neat build, not so playableI would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfWe just finished building the new LEGO Disney Castle. What fun! I don't think the build was really that difficult, and was pleased it did not require too much repetitive building of the same element(s). I'm normally not a fan of open-backed LEGO sets, but the scale of the Castle allows easy access from the rear and the rooms and their decor are really clever. The box is huge, and heavy. And it comes with another large, plain white box in the LEGO box, which turns out only serves to hold more bags. The instruction manual is thick - 486 pages of building, 758 steps. One thing that was puzzling is that there are two different styles of bag numbers. For example, there were several Bag 12s, with two different styles of numbers. Still not sure why, but it made no difference when we combined the bags. We love the Disney rooms, which for some reason LEGO does not advertise. There are elements for Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Phantasm and Snow White. We liked the spinning wheel, the Beauty and the Beast rose, Snow White's apple, the ballroom floor and the kitchen. There's also Cinderalla's glass slipper and a neat three piece book in a secret hiding place. And much like wondering why Pluto and Goofy were not included in the Series 16 mini-figures, it's strange that Cinderella is missing from this set. The three dimensional build is clever, but several places are not strong enough to survive play from little ones. For example, if you'd like to take Tinker Bell and have her "fly" by attaching her hand to one of the roof spires, it will likely separate. Similarly the main first floor left and right walls are secured on one end but have about 1/8 of play on the other end. Neither of these little nits deter from the overall build, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The bottom support structure is also strong enough so the whole completed model can be moved. At $349, this is a pretty pricey "toy". Was it worth it? While it would be nice if the grand kids could play with it without adult supervision, it is still clever, grand and a neat build - so Yes, we found it was worth the money. Not a bargain mind you, but worth it. Well done LEGO.Play ExperienceAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Value for MoneyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Build Time: 8 hrsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?55The Disney Castle
