- November 29th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0The one we've all been waiting for...I would recommend this to a friend!Incredibly it has taken 30 years before someone thought to release a collectible Home Alone house, and I'm so glad it was Lego that did it. I haven't played/built Lego for 40 years, and when the HUGE box arrived I must admit I was a tad intimidated, but the set was straightforward to build, with excellent and clear instructions, and after an hour or so it became second nature. Constructed in sections from the basement up, the house is an imposing 11 inches high, by about 32 inches wide. It's sectional, so you can take a layer off to peek inside the McAllister home and the clever, humorous little touches that made it a joy to build - the collapsing shelves, the precarious paint cans, the bathroom mirror... As you build it you're guaranteed to smile or even chuckle as you realise what you're building. As I'm not a die-hard Lego builder I felt free to adjust and amend - the shrubbery outside the house, for example, may be typically Lego, but was to me disappointing, so I added some model railway hedging, and some additional white strips to the roofline. I've also ordered an after-market lighting kit - a pity Lego don't do their own! An excellent model, fun to build, and fun to look at and set up for Christmas!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?55LEGO® Ideas Home Alone

I giggled like a schoolgirl at every point of recognition from the film. The little details like the spider, the cardboard cutout - to the plane ticket in the bin! I thoroughly enjoyed this builds d sharing it with others - who waited in anticipation daily27 December 2021Jane, LEGO® Customer ServiceWhat a great way to make the enjoyment last! - November 8th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Don’t miss out!I would recommend this to a friend! This build is amazing! First off, for the price and pieces, amazing value. Let’s not stop there. The detail is insane and if you grew up with Home Alone being a staple of your life (I remember when it came out and saw at theatres) you need to be all in your feels and purchase. This set took about 8 hours to do and worth every minute - we did a time lapse too. The box and instruction book is intimidating, but take it bag by bag. My boys were shocked, for even the Daily Bugle didn’t have this many bags. The booby traps are great - the fact Marv has an iron burn on his face is everything. Red door knob, laundry shoot works, even the treehouse is perfect - it works and the angle is perfection for the mini figures land perfectly. The plane tickets are in the trash. The fact this display opens up and you can see inside, is outstanding. Just purchase this set before you miss out and enjoy it. Turn in Home Alone and build away! I’m hoping they do the apartment from Home Alone 2 - it’s about time Lego! Great job!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?55LEGO® Ideas Home Alone
