  Very Fun Build!

  This was my 2nd Creator Expert build (1st was the Mustang), and I must say, I really enjoyed it. Instructions were easy to follow, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. I went with the Turbo, and I plan to enjoy it for a little, before rebuilding it into the Targa. I didn’t look at the rest of the instruction booklet, but from what I’ve read, I don’t think there are any set directions for the conversion from one to the other, so I’ll just read the Turbo steps in reverse, then just do the Targa steps. So in conclusion, I love it!

  Two cars in one

  I would recommend this to a friend!

  I love everything about this kit from how they captured the smooth curves using blocky Lego pieces to the shelf presence and finally the ability to easily swap out components to switch between the Targa and the Turbo models so the building experience ends whenever you want it to. The instruction manual tells you how to build the 911 up to a certain point which is considered the “base model” at which point the instructions diverge depending if you prefer the Targa or Turbo version. What I would have liked is a page or two illustrating the key points of the base model from the sides and underside so that we know how much of the car to deconstruct while swapping between Targa and Turbo configurations to make the process smoother rather than relying on experience with Lego building alone. Either way, it’s very simple to swap between the configurations and as the designer mentioned, if you have a few spare parts lying around, you can even make a Turbo-Targa hybrid though that is a journey for us fans to discover on our own.

  As a kid, Lego was a project I always looked forward to and now fast forward to being an adult, I feel Lego just grows with me and it’s nothing but great challenges and rewarding their fans!! Lego forever!

  When LEGO announced this set, I was ecstatic! My wife and I have several Creator Expert buildings but I weren't really into CE vehicles until this set. On my off day, I turned on chill music and took my time to enjoy the design and the build (approx. 5 hrs). There is only an error on the instruction for one of the rear windows. The only complaint I have on this set is the 2x8 piece for the hood and the roof. Somehow,they have some sort of discoloration at the edge and since this set is in pearl white, they can easily be seen on display.
