Job Description

Do you want to secure an outstanding LEGO Building Experience - both for the physical and digital Building Instructions? 

And can you ensure that all components to the building experience support an accurate Building Instructions design? Then this position is for you! 

Core Responsibilities  

Come join the Building Experience (BX) Platform Team and mature and enable new building experience content platforms, by ensuring scalable and repeatable solutions within our current platforms (graphic assets, software, production methods, workflow, and guidelines) as well as investigating new platforms! 

Play your part in our team succeeding! You will:

  • Ensure the delivery of sustainable and high-quality Building Experience (BX) content for both digital and physical building instructions by closely collaborating with Product and Marketing Development specialists and Operations teams. 

  • Research and identify opportunities for enhancing knowledge and processes in the production environment (2D & 3D) to advance new BX concepts and support scalability within our content platform. 

  • Creating and documenting content guides while facilitating communication across teams regarding all new BX content platforms. 

  • Continuously updating the BX Design System and Governance with new design descriptions in the BX database. 

  • Investigating opportunities for improving both digital and printed building instructions through consumer testing, such as engaging children and other users. 

  • Participating in pilot projects aimed at refining concepts to establish a repeatable and scalable BX content platform for future systems and tools.

We're looking for someone who can facilitate workshops and discussions, make decisive choices, and thrive in a dynamic environment with a curious mindset. Additionally, you bring:

  • A background in instructional design, service design, design documentation, product experience design, user-centered design, OR proven work experience in related fields.  

  • Demonstrated experience in project and product development. 

  • Expertise in data-driven consumer research, including user testing and validation, particularly with children. 

  • Proficient technical writer with experience in graphic user interface documentation. 

  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly in communication and presentation tools. 

  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D design software and media technologies, such as Maya and the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.). 

  • Skilled in prototyping and creating mockups for the exploration and testing of concepts, processes, and tools. 

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) 

Nice to Haves: 

  • An understanding of the LEGO consumers and the BX Language. 

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance of overall the product experience. 

  • Eagerness to learn and grow, while actively fostering a culture of development and encouragement among team members.
