My parents actually surprised me with this. It's my first Lego set ever. It was easy to put together. I finished it in about 12 hours. I'd love to know how I can buy more pieces to create 2 more trains for this?18 November 2019Jenny, Customer ServiceWe are so happy to hear that you enjoyed building our Roller Coaster set! This is the biggest set I bought so far and mainly focused on the coaster itself. The set needs more mini figures and maybe more props in under and between the tracks but it'll become more expensive. The set it really heavy once built but can be carried from one place to another and won't fall apart if you're not clumsy. I bought the power functions separately and it works like a charm. No need to crank it anymore and just watch the coaster roll around. I can even connect all 6 carts and they still run good. Tried to connect 3 more from the pirate roller coaster set but they can't run anymore because of the sheer weight though. The set had two missing parts and asked for a replacement but as of today, I have no confirmation it they will be shipped. The set still works without them but I still want it as complete as it can be because of its price. This set deserves the 5 stars and maybe even more just for the pure fun I had in the three afterwork nights I sneaked in to build it and the dream of having a true Lego roller coaster set has finally become a reality.Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?

Bit of a step up from my usual kits but as soon as I saw this it lodged in my brain and kept niggling at me. Did a bit of maths and decided that seeing as there was not going to be a holiday this year or even a weekend getaway I could take the plunge and purchase this huge set. Yes, it IS expensive but it is definitely worth every penny; never mind the actual pieces and the build instruction booklets the engineering and design that have gone in to this are incredible. The mistake I made with this was attempting to construct it over only two days. I did manage to complete it but I will readily admit I was exhausted at the end of each build session. There is a lot of repetitive building of the support struts but I didn't find it boring in the slightest, the only problem for me was my finger tips became sore from pushing all the blocks together. Well worth it because the completed structure is really sturdy and it needs to be because you need to use some force to attach the red tracks as they have a tendency to want to spring back as you attach them. When I first ran the Coaster it pulled to the top of the lift hill just fine but when it got to the top the bumper was running anti-clockwise so it was trying to push it back down. On removing the bumper I disassembled and carefully rebuilt from the instructions in Booklet 1 and it still happened. After 90 minutes of frustration trying to figure out what went wrong I searched online for the problem and came across someone who had the same problem but had figured out the diagrams for the three bumpers had one of the cogs in the wrong place. I removed each of the bumpers and rebuilt with the amended cog position and lo and behold it worked. So you can add another 2 Hours to my posted build time. Still not marking it down though as I am genuinely impressed with the overall build. It just fits on a shelf in my living room and I can actually run it from it's new location. Including moving the second train on to the tracks - I was thrilled by the sliding mechanism for this as it does replicate genuine roller coasters train switching systems. The extended time at home has afforded some serious catch-up on father son Lego build time.... The Roller Coaster was a set we were not at first totally sold on. However, we knew we wanted to build an amusement park, so we made the purchase last year. And now we have time to build! The build was repetitious, but as the coaster began to take shape we were getting excited to run the trains. The final product is nice however the manual power is a little clunky, but still fun to play with and it fits in nice with our Carousel (just built too). It takes up a lot of space, so plan accordingly, the kids and I love it!Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?
