“Excuse me, but do you happen to have any gold?” The Conquistador likes gold. REALLY likes gold. It’s not so much about the wealth; he just thinks that it looks really good, and he’d like all of his stuff to be made out of it. If he had his way, he’d be living in a solid gold house, taking a nice bath in a gold tub full of golden coins. And the towels and shampoo would be gold, too. The Conquistador has traveled all across the world in search of gold, but he hasn’t had a lot of luck so far. For some reason, the people he meets always want to keep theirs, which seems pretty selfish to him – especially that Leprechaun, who just up and disappeared. Fortunately, he’s heard about this newly-discovered place called the Aztec Empire. He figures he’ll stop by there next and see if they’ve got any gold they don’t mind sparing!
“I’m really building up in the world!” Selfies? Apps? Emojis? This guy’s never even heard of them. Zooming straight out of the Eighties and into your heart, the Yuppie is the very model of a young urban professional on the rise. He likes his suits white and his shirts eye-searingly bright, and of course he wears his sunglasses both in the daytime and at night. The Yuppie has a great job with lots of room for advancement, and he’ll be sure to tell you all about it over a long steak-and-lobster lunch meeting or a friendly game of miniature golf (as a Minifigure, he’s a little too short for the full-sized kind). Need to reach him? No problem! Just give him a buzz on his pager and he’ll call you right back on his expensive new mobile phone. It’s the latest thing, with a big antenna and buttons instead of one of those clunky old-fashioned dials!
“I’m the best of both worlds.” With her body enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, the Cyborg is equally proud of both sides of herself. Her human half provides her with creativity, imagination and flexible thought, while her robotic half grants her extra senses, super-fast reflexes and expanded computational power. When the two are working together, there’s almost no situation that she can’t solve. The Cyborg has a reputation as an expert troubleshooter – point her in the direction of trouble, and if she can’t think, build or cyber-hack a solution, then her duo-fusion blaster can shoot her way out. Don’t try to take her on single-handedly, because this cool-headed cybernetic operative is double the threat of most Minifigures!
LEGO Brick Suit Guy
“LEGO® bricks rock!” The LEGO Brick Suit Guy’s favorite thing to do is put together LEGO sets. He really enjoys following the instructions step by step and watching a pile of pieces turn into an assembled model one brick at a time. Here at the party, he’s in charge of the speed-building challenge, where everybody races to build the same model the fastest. It might take a while for someone to win, though – when you’re the size of a minifigure, LEGO bricks are HUGE. Just look at the LEGO Brick Suit Guy’s costume and you’ll see!
The Mime™ was originally Camilla Ortin, the wealthy and spoiled daughter of a celebrated fireworks maker. Hating the loud noises of her childhood, she devoted herself to silence – and super-villainy. As The Mime, she uses her martial arts skills and 10,000-volt electrified gloves to commit performance-art crimes against anything loud, all while never speaking a word!
Hip hip hooray! Here on his very first vacation trip, Robin™ has a brand-new Super Hero dad, a brand-new Bat-family to call his own, and even a brand-new ice cream cone full of scoops of tasty frozen goodness. He’s going to treasure all three of them forever and ever and ever…whoops, ice cream melts, doesn’t it? Better eat fast, Boy Wonder!
“Is it chilly in here, or is it just me?” Nobody is more into ice than the frosty-tempered Ice Queen. Everything in her magical kingdom is made out of the stuff, from the icicle crown on her head to her castle’s ice stables, full of ice horses ridden by ice knights. Even the bakery in town is run by an ice baker who makes icy loaves of bread over the flickering ice flames of his frozen oven. The Ice Queen is so obsessed with ice and all things ice-related that she can’t help filling her conversations with ice puns. Terrible ice puns. But just make sure you smile politely and laugh at each and every one, or you’re likely to find yourself taking an ice slide all the way down to her ice dungeon – and you won’t get out again until it melts the next summer!
Dog Show Winner
“Honestly, there’s no reason why we would lose!” For the devoted Dog Show Winner, his pampered, pedigreed pooch is the most important thing in the world. He grooms and brushes it, buys it the most highly-rated toys and treats, and teaches it to do clever new tricks. He makes sure it stays happy, healthy and well-exercised, and that it gets to spend lots of time playing in the park with its doggy friends. All of that hard work and care really pay off at the dog show. Everybody in the audience is impressed by how well-behaved his dog is, but when you’ve got a bond like these two do, you know that there won’t be any unexpected barking or jumping on the judges. It’s no surprise that they take the top blue-ribbon prize in every competition they enter!
“Hello! Do you like lederhosen?” The Lederhosen Guy is extremely proud of his fine leather breeches. In fact, there’s probably no one else around who’s quite so fond of lederhosen. That’s how you become known as the Lederhosen Guy, instead of just some guy who happens to wear lederhosen! The Lederhosen Guy really is a giant fan of lederhosen. He goes to lederhosen conventions, subscribes to lederhosen magazines, and even writes a lederhosen blog. He also enjoys attending cultural festivals with his friends the Highland Battler and the Bagpiper. They may not share his love of lederhosen, but at least they agree that it’s nice to feel the breeze on their knees!
“It’s the perfect crime!” When night falls over the city, the Jewel Thief is in her element. As the police patrol the streets below, her grappling gun takes her up to the roof. There, she easily deactivates the alarm system, cuts through the skylight glass, and lowers herself down to the security vault. Somersaulting through the laser grid, she skillfully cracks the locking code and escapes with the most valuable diamond inside, pausing only to give the guard dog a friendly scratch under the chin. But there’s no point to a well-orchestrated theft if nobody knows that it was you who did it. Other famous burglars have their own signature calling cards that they leave at the scene of the crime, so she’s picked one that seems just right. What better to represent a Jewel Thief than a precious gem? That’s why she always drops off the jewel she swiped in her last caper whenever she steals a new one!
Ariel is a smart, independent and clever young mermaid with a beautiful singing voice, but she is also a daydreamer. She longs to visit the land above the surface of the ocean someday, even keeping a secret collection of mysterious objects from the human world. Her curiosity sometimes gets her into trouble with her father, King Triton, but it also leads her to great adventures both under and over the sea!
“I’ve never seen one finer than this! I rate it a 6 out of 10.” The ever-critical Connoisseur is the world’s greatest master of good taste. His vast knowledge extends to fashion, architecture, cuisine, and which colors go well with which other colors (black and white with a hint of red are the best, of course). All of the most successful artists, designers and interior directors go to him for advice and opinions, and he is more than happy to share his personal appraisals of their work. The Connoisseur may be hard to please, but if he likes what you’ve done, then you can be sure that you’ll have a lifelong fan – that’s why he’ll only eat baguettes freshly baked by the Gourmet Chef. Want to know the secret to a positive review? Make something that will impress his beloved French bulldog. Try showing them your latest custom LEGO® brick creation and see what they have to say!
“By the stacking of my bricks, something wacky this way clicks! Eee-hee-hee-hee!” The Wacky Witch strives to be the perfect storybook witch, but living the fairy tale lifestyle is a lot harder than the picture books make it look. She spent weeks baking and building her gingerbread cottage, but it gets soggy in the rain, and the Fly Monster keeps nibbling at the edges. She can’t seem to get the hang of riding a broomstick, either – she gets airsick pretty easily, and it’s left her looking permanently green. As for the traditional witch’s familiar, don’t even get her started! Her black cat steadfastly refuses to bring anybody bad luck, choosing instead to spend all of his time napping in sunbeams, ignoring her when she calls his name, and yowling whenever his supper is five minutes late. With all of these complications, it’s enough to drive the Wacky Witch to cackling!
