Are you a thought leader within government and public affairs and do you want to play a key role in driving overall alignment and positioning of the LEGO brand on one of the most prominent global issues of the day?We are looking for 2 Global Topic Leads to join our newly established Government & Public Affairs Strategy team to engage with stakeholders at all levels across LEGO entities as well as key external stakeholders.One will be leading the Learning Through Play topic, the other will be leading the Sustainability topic specifically focusing on the environmental aspects, e.g. circular economy.
Core ResponsibilitiesAs our new Senior Manager Government & Public Affairs you will be driving internal collaboration, targeted outreach to political stakeholders and execution of strategic activities across entities on the topics of Learning Through Play or Sustainability, anchored in LEGO Brand Vision 2032 and the Responsibility Strategy.
One of your key areas of responsibility will be to work with a broad range of colleagues across LEGO entities, to develop a coordinated narrative and support global alignment within your given area of expertise.
In this position you will also play the following keys roles, as:
Gather information on market legislative/regulatory activities across borders, connecting the dots to identify international medium to long-term political trends, and identifying common challenges and opportunities to the business
Serving as a conduit of information, sharing and internalizing deep knowledge and insights on the international political and regulatory landscape into the LEGO Group colleagues with a global remit.
Working to ensure market-based GPA colleagues have the information and assets to enable them to deliver effective advocacy efforts in their markets.
Serving as a sounding board for GPA colleagues on market specific issues, offering guidance, and assisting them navigate within the internal organization to address issues more effectively and efficiently.
Furthermore you will:
• Focus on close collaboration and co-creation of solutions and activities with GPA market colleagues
• Enable and drive best practice in managing and responding to opportunity & risk within that topic area across all markets
• Provide policy briefings and risk analysis to senior leadership

Do you have what it takes?You hold a university degree at Masters’ level within a relevant area (ex. political, science, international relations, law, communication).
You are a thought leader in GPA with a deep understanding of the topic, display clear grasp and understanding of different business objectives, strategies and ability to discern priorities, as well as external industry trends.
• +5 years’ experience from consumer products industry, public affairs consultancy, business consultancy, authorities or similar
• Experience from government and public affairs position in a global branded consumer goods business, association, NGO and/or political organization
• Proven ability to enable others (experts, leaders) to engage in and influence policies, political processes
• Proven track record with advocacy and broad stakeholder engagement
• Experience from navigating across functional areas and embrace ambiguity, yet stay focused on the overall objective
• Ability to establish follow ship from stakeholders
• English at an advanced level, both written and verbally
In this position 20 to 30 travel days per year should be expected.
