South Korean seller of imitation LEGO® product receives fine and suspended jail sentence
The Seoul Southern District Court found the defendant guilty of being in possession of 1,348 LEPIN, LELE and SY branded copycat products when his store was raided by the Special Judicial Police of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism in June 2017. All of the products were seized and the defendant was also found to have sold 2,627 imitation LEGO products via online shopping malls between June 2016 and June 2017.
