Sustainability progress first half of 2022

Together, we can Rebuild the World
At the LEGO Group, we’re playing our part in building a sustainable future and creating a better world for children to inherit. As we celebrate our 90th anniversary in 2022, we’re honouring how children are reimagining the world around them as they rebuild the world into a friendlier, more inclusive, and more playful place than before.
To ensure there’s a world filled with play for another 90 years and beyond, we continue to join forces with children and parents, our employees, partners, experts and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to make a lasting positive impact.

Quality Education
We advocate for the transformative power of play to be adopted in education and early childhood development around the world. The LEGO Foundation has a 25% ownership in the LEGO Group, which means that 25% of the LEGO Group’s profit is contributing to help children have access to Learning through Play.Responsible consumption and production
We believe we have a responsibility to continue to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. We have an ambition to make LEGO® bricks from more sustainable materials by 2030 and our packaging more sustainable by 2025.

We’re being recognised
We’re grateful to have been recognised at both the regional and global level for our efforts in sustainability and fostering a culture of inclusion. A couple of highlights during the first months of 2022 include being recognised as:
- #3 most highly regarded global company by RepTrak Company™ on their Global RepTrak® 100.
- ‘Company of the Year, 500+ Employees’ by the Danish Diversity Awards.
- ‘Best Brand or Marketing Campaign’ by the 2022 British LGBT Awards for our ‘Everyone is Awesome’ LEGO® set.
