LEGO® Mario Kart™ levels up Super Mario™ line-up with Luigi and the first-ever large-scale Mach 8 Kart set

BILLUND, DENMARK - 10 March 2026: Start your engines! The LEGO Group today revealed the LEGO® Mario Kart™ - Luigi & Mach 8 (72050), the latest addition to the line-up of LEGO Super Mario™ products. This highly detailed model is inspired by the beloved Mario Kart™ series.
Designed for builders aged 18 and up, the set includes 2,234 pieces that bring Luigi and the Mach 8 to fans in brick form. The buildable figure features a posable head, arms and hands, seated confidently behind the wheel of the first-ever large-scale LEGO brick recreation of the Mach 8 kart.
Builders can display the kart on its stand at dynamic, race-ready angles, capturing the excitement of a Mario Kart™ showdown mid-drift. For added interactivity, the model can also be removed from its stand and rolled forward. Turning the steering wheel turns the front wheels, and turning the back wheels will spin the flame exhaust, allowing for a playful movement alongside static display.
The Luigi & Mach 8 set is the ideal counterpart to the LEGO® Mario Kart™ – Mario & Standard Kart (72037), sold separately, letting fans create a full head-to-head display of their favourite characters.
The LEGO Mario Kart™ - Luigi & Mach 8 (72050) is available for pre-order today (10 March 2026) and will be available for immediate purchase from 1 April 2026 via LEGO.com/Luigi-mach8 and LEGO Stores, priced at £159.99 / €179.99 / $179.99.
