Be a part of the Procurement team in Shenzhen to help us establish a sustainable supplier platform to support worldwide products in the LEGO Group!

You will be supporting project development and sustaining of the Extended Line product on time delivery with best price and highest quality.

Your tasks will include:

• Drive product development process in collaboration with suppliers & internal stakeholders, from portfolio phase until market exit, with focus on outstanding quality
• Secure reliability of smooth, on-time delivery and outstanding quality of project development & outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement in cost reduction, lead-time reduction and process optimization

• Manage RFQ (request for quotation) process, validate and secure best pricing, negotiate costs
• Manage supplier relationships, track supplier performance and drive improvement plans in collaboration with other stakeholders
• Develop and drive supply platform to support novelty development & replenishment
• Execute sourcing process, develop sourcing network/ database to support novelty project development with target cost
• Groom, evaluate, redevelop the supply platform constantly to maintain the best supply platform mix
• Perform ongoing cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by suppliers, ensure highest quality at lowest possible cost
• Support effective Supply Chain process and supplier management

• Manage and minimize product risk & supplier risk by preventive action and contingency plan
• Drive and improve supplier relationship & performance in collaboration with other stakeholders to mitigate supply risk

• Proactively take measure to ensure high-quality, high-performance Novelty production process
• Support resolution of quality issues in product life cycle

• Ensure smooth operational momentum in production, quality and on-time delivery
• Provide input to Global Category Leader/ Plan – Sourcing Requirements, Market Intelligence, etc.
• Strong collaboration with the team located across Asia and Europe

• Understand the requirements and ensure healthy & safe work environment for self and others
• Share best practices globally; be responsible for governance and compliance, uphold LEGO policies & practices
• Continuously seek improvements in daily work independently
• Support development of others within functional area

The Must to Have’s for the role

• Min 7-9 years’ relevant working experience: strategic sourcing/ project management; procurement/ supplier/ portfolio management experience; with high quality deliverables in a multinational manufacturing environment, preferably in electronic components, consumer products
• Strong experience in Electronics Components/ Assembly process, collaboration with OEM/ODM partners,
• Strong knowledge of cost structure and key cost drivers for active/ passive electronic components, PCBs, cables as well as supply/distribution panels in Asia region,
• Sourcing experience in mechanical parts such as screws, springs is a plus,
• Familiarity with EMS industry operations is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and analytical skills with ability to develop & manage supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methodologies & processes
• Proven experience in open book cost model
• Strong knowledge of relevant [international] product safety requirements
• Strong knowledge in relevant commodity markets, key players and transactions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strategic & analytical thinking abilities
• Solution and results orientation with proven ability to deliver
• Proactive and collaborative
• Willingness and ability to travel
