Are you someone who has driven growth through new & innovative sales channels?The LEGO group is looking to find a Senior Licensing Manager – Maternity Cover. This role will require someone to drive collaboration and have the confidence to develop and implement a local sales and marketing strategy in line with the global licensing retail ambition. This role will be a fix term contract until September 2020!
Your specific tasks include:
• Steer the implementation of licensing retail strategy through the integration of marketing and sales function. • Align with local marketing and sales strategies & business planning through close collaboration and development of the licensing team’s business plan. • Responsible for retail account management and becoming the link between retailers, licensing partners and LEGO sales & marketing teams • Deliver LEGO Brand and theme information to licensees whilst monitoring PR activities and help develop marketing & sales innovations. • You will be an active member of the local brand and sales teams
Challenges and Opportunities
This position is responsible for the implementation and execution of the Licensing and Extended Line (LEL) go to market strategy in Germany. The Mission of LEL is to support the success of the core business and the strength of the LEGO brand and key marketing priorities. Success will rely on aligning licensing activities with the local marketing and sales teams as well as the development of new business in existing and new retail channels both physical & online. In addition, this role will support the licensing partners’ sales and marketing teams and ensure a successful and strong representation of the LEGO brand in stores.
Do you have what it takes?
• Extensive experience in a similar role in product management, business development and marketing integration (Licensing background preferred) • Ability to work across numerous product categories • Demonstrable success of growing a product group for a global brand • Previous experience in the toy industry would be an advantage • Fluent in both English & Germany. Other languages would be an advantage • University degree educated
