Story starters: An endless world of playhouses

Windows and doors are among the most popular LEGO® DUPLO® elements in our sets. Even before children can stack bricks on top of each other, they can open and close the windows and doors. It may seem like a trivial activity, but the tactile experience lets your child explore endless, every day and imaginary play scenarios.

Through the magic of imagination, even a small house can seem huge even though you only build it with one window and one door. When you step - or put something - through a window or a door, it can become a portal to a new world.

We took a few bricks from the 10593 LEGO® DUPLO® Fire Station and started constructing new homes. You can build a traditional home with a cute picket fence, with room for a family and a couple of pets, two-story houses with apartments or offices, enchanting castles for knights, princesses (and ghosts), superhero lairs, or alien houses from distant galaxies.

How many different houses have you and your kids built? Who lives in them? Share your stories with us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/LEGODUPLO
