Are you a leader and have a passion for retail marketing? Join LEGO Retail and help us further build a strong retail marketing team, lead global retailers and deliver innovative and compelling family experiences in North America.

Your specific tasks include:

Core Responsibilities
•Develop and deliver on a regional marketing plan with budget accountability
•Execute the global marketing campaigns
•Provide direction for regional forecasting and business planning
•Integrated planning with the AMS Market covering both B2B and LCS
•Manage regional external partnerships
•Lead, develop and motivate a team of marketing professionals

Drive and implement an AMS Marketing Plan based on the Global Marketing Strategy and Plan
o Conduct annual YOY analysis for the AMS market, inclusive of deep understanding of shopper data/insights, clear channel positioning, and AMS retail landscape review, to inform the Global Marketing Strategy and Plan
o Implement Global Campaigns across all channels
o Develop localization of global promotions, emails, direct mail, exclusives marketing, experiential events and social media as needed
o Owns fiscal responsibility through carefully planned and monitored budgetary practices

Provide direction and guidance to LEGO Retail key stakeholders on product forecasting and business planning based on Global and Regional Marketing Plans
o Active member of monthly demand planning meetings
o Active member in weekly Regional Sales Meetings providing global and regional marketing activities updates and proposing solutions to business concerns
o Propose marketing solutions to LEGO Retail Marketing Leadership Team based on regional business issues
o Provide forecasting input to business owner stakeholders (Stores and Ecommerce) based on a strong understanding of all business KPIs and marketing activation sales impact

Partner with the AMS Market BU, Brand Marketing and Trade Activation, to create synergy across marketing activation levers through annual and ongoing planning
o Active member in the AMS Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing planning forums
o Partner with regional market teams to leverage Market BU budget to drive traffic, grow active share and increase sales in LR channels.
o Collaborate with Market teams to develop an AMS “go to market” plan with a view of optimizing and creating a seamless shopper experience across B2B, LR and LCS
o Be the voice of AMS LEGO Retail in all cross functional team meetings


Manage the relationship with external partners to develop and optimize regional marketing
o Craft integrated marketing programs for the AMS Market with our key external IP partners (Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, etc.)
o Manage the partnership with Initiative Jr AMS team to develop and deliver on paid media plans
o Lead the team to deliver on partnership marketing plans and tactics
o Manage regional partnership budget in the AMS Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing planning forums
o Partner with regional market teams to leverage Market BU budget to drive traffic, grow active share and increase sales in LR channels.
o Collaborate with Market teams to develop an AMS “go to market” plan with a view of optimizing and creating a seamless shopper experience across B2B, LR and LCS
o Be the voice of AMS LEGO Retail in all cross functional team meetings

Lead, motivate and inspire a team of marketing professionals
o Lead and motivate a team of 3+ direct reports with focus building a world class retail marketing team through coaching and work on individual development
o Maintain an awareness of retail industry and market trends for personal and team development

Challenges and Opportunities

The Director, Americas Retail Marketing partners with the Americas market to develop regional plans within the Global Marketing strategy and framework to deliver on:
-Americas sales results, NPS metrics and other business KPIs for both LEGO brand stores and LEGO.com Americas
-The ultimate brand experience to shoppers and consumers

Do you have what it takes?

•7+ years relevant retail marketing experience for brands with large store networks.
•Experience in retail DTC channels with understanding of brand and product marketing, shopper engagement and driving business results
•Ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional and international teams
•Strong strategic mindset and analytical skills; ability to balance between analytical and creative thinking
•Proven leadership capabilities to inspire team members and develop talent
•Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
•Well-organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker with excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
•Proactive, solution-oriented and positive attitude.
•Solid skills with Microsoft Office suite
•Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (estimate 15% of time)
