Could you help build a LEGO® Eiffel Tower… from Berlin?
Our Customer Service Advisors, Amalie & Andrea, are based in Berlin, but they use their LEGO® expertise to help and inspire builders from all over the world. They’re part of a growing team of advisors working in our newly opened, custom designed office in the heart of Germany’s capital.
We spoke to them to find out what they love most about being part of this new team.
First things first, what key skills do you need to do your job?
“Being super quick on the keyboard really helps. If you can be friendly and funny and get it right the first time too, so much the better. It really helps to build a strong rapport with your callers.”

“As a long-time LEGO® collector, I can identify the parts code of sets or elements in just a few seconds. This means I can track down LEGO bricks with lightning speed and help customers and colleagues to find the information they need in a flash.”
Andrea
How about your proudest moments on the team, can you tell us about those?
“It’s so difficult choosing one experience within customer service here. Every day people are happy and we help each other out – from the coffee machine to the lovely customers. You can always talk to people and it is just a huge team who loves helping each other every day - that for me is the best experience.”

“One day I had a case with a guy in Peru who couldn't make a LEGO® Technic™ set work. After sending us several photos and videos, we were able to figure out that there was a part assembled backwards that had snuck in between some of the pieces. After fixing it, the customer was so happy that he sent several pictures and videos showing how happy his child was.”
Andrea
We know there are more than just you two in Berlin. How does the rest of the team bring out the best in you?
“Your team leader is always there, so if you have any questions they are ready to help you out. Not just team leaders, actually, all of our colleagues are keen to help. We learn from each other’s experiences and that makes me better. Everyone is happy and engaged, which makes every day feel light and easy.”

“Our voice is always heard. We talk to our team leader and teammates all the time to share feedback and helpful tips for our work. I love being able to talk to people of different nationalities to share their passions and discover their curiosities.”
Andrea
