Did the designer of this set Christopher Perron grew up in northern China? I feel he must be my childhood friend who remembers every details of a lunar new year celebration. I'm so deeply touched by the attention to details: pictures on doors , different types of fire crackers, Chinese cabbage stored in "nature fridge"... The building process is fun. I enjoyed making the Nian creature. I hope to see more set like this in the future!Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating3out of 5 stars3.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 2 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Story of Nian
- January 29th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Love it!Curiosity88 | 25-34I would recommend this to a friend!I have been watching this for a few weeks before it’s finally released. This is also my first Lego and I really enjoyed building it. It’s much easier than I thought. Love all those details and you can tell how much effort has been put into it. I was surprised how quality it was from time to time along the way to build it, such as the gate, lanterns, chun lian, and firecrackers! My only complaint probably is the missing brick on that small purple firework - I received only 5 (should be 6) orange connecting bricks, but I was able to put my fireworks together with a green one which I believe is an extra or misplaced bricks. I guess it’s just an individual case, because I see 6 orange connectors from other reviewers pictures. It’s not perfect but I still like it overall.February 1, 2021Jon, Customer ServiceOh no! Missing pieces are rare so it's very disappointing when they happen. It is a beautiful set and great value for money. I have really enjoyed building it. True the building is only a wall but it looks great and provides a wonderful background for my colourful Chinese New year tableau. The minifigures and Nian are fantastic, so if like me you have been hesitating - don't wait any longer. Buy this charming set before it disappears.Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 6 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Story of Nian

The building is worth about $30, the minifigures $15, and the fireworks and snow are worth $15. Nian is a fantastic build and a cool teal and orange lego which is about $20. I love the details and all the different flame options. I even like how they decorated the walls, banners, and door frame. I recommend this product to everyone.Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating2out of 5 stars2.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 2 hrs 30 minsBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Story of Nian
