I voted for it on LEGO Ideas and was very happy it was selected for production. However, I had the problem that others have had with the rear smoke stack sticking. I tried the solution provided by LEGO: Gently lift the boat by the stuck smoke stack and set it back down. But it did not work for me. So I partially disassembled the boat to get to the section that surrounds the base of the rear smoke stack to see what the problem was. The parts assembled in Step 109 (pg. 114 of the instructions) seem to be putting too much pressure on the smoke stack base. I found that if I removed Part 4597131 (white 1x4 plate with 2 studs) that is installed in Step 110 (pg. 115), that I could make slight adjustments to the Step 109 parts. This allowed the smoke stack to move freely. I carefully reassemble the set without this part while making sure the smoke stack continued move freely as I went. Once complete, you cannot tell this part has been removed and the smoke stack moves as it should. I know this is not a perfect solution, but it work for me. Hopefully it will help others too.Build Time: 2 hrsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Steamboat Willie

- January 27th, 2020Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Amazingly Perfect!Ramilla |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI am in love with the Disney LEGO line. It is beautiful and so accurate. The way that Steamboat Willie’s Boat looks just like it did in the cartoons I use to watch when I was younger with my grandparents. I had issues with the stacks as well but I just took apart the boat to the issue area noticed I put one of the LEGO’s in the wrong way and it worked just fine afterwards. The book makes it look odd and different, really pay attention when building your stacks. This set took my son and I awhile to build but it was an amazing opportunity to bond with him and tell him stories about Steamboat Willie and how his great grandparents use to watch it with me when I was little. You can never get that time back. Now I get to look at the finish beautiful accurate product that LEGO did amazingly and see not only my family and my love for Disney but also the memories I made with my oldest son! Definitely go get this if you love Disney! Even if you don’t it is so cool and the stacks move! Also who doesn’t like Disney? If you have kids make it a family day and have fun but remember patience. This is an art piece you will want to display after you finish it. It is that beautiful!Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 1 days 4 hrs 45 minsBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Steamboat Willie

We got Cinderella’s Castle a few years ago and put it together in a weekend. It was a great family project and we display it in our living room. When we saw that Steamboat Mickey was coming out we ordered it on its release date. We made it a family project and put it together after dinner. It took 3 hours. So much fun and a beautiful nostalgic piece. We love it! We will be proudly displaying this one as well. Family fun and something to have for years to come. It doesn’t get any better. LEGO should design a Beauty and The Beast Piece.Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 3 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Steamboat Willie
