Meet Dr. Kathy SullivanThe first American woman to complete a spacewalk in 1984, former NASA Astronaut Kathy Sullivan joined the team on the Space Shuttle Discovery and went on to participate in the mission to deploy the Hubble Space Telescope in 1990. Today Dr. Sullivan works to help break down barriers here on earth and encourage kids, and especially girls, to consider careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

- June 24th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Out of this worldI would recommend this to a friend! This was truely an enjoyable build. Some of the techniques used are amazing. The designer of this model has done an outstanding job of thinking outside the brick. The way the wings attach is so simple yet such advanced building methodology that it just can't not blow your mind. Also the way the landing gear operate is a piece of mechanical genius. This set is lego design on a different level. Do yourself a favour and get this set, I promise you will not be disappointed.Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Was this helpful?55NASA Space Shuttle Discovery
- June 7th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Just build itI would recommend this to a friend!Wasn’t sure this would really unify my love and interests in space, the Space Shuttle, and Legos but after building and displaying this I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone with even a remote interest. Not disappointed at all. The analog mechanical surprises built into the design are pretty amazing. Twisting the rear top engine swivels the wing flaps. The landing gear retract. Looks amazingly realistic. The Hubble also comes with its own display stand - this is like a 2-in-1 kit. Amazing design Lego!Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Was this helpful?55NASA Space Shuttle Discovery

- June 9th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Out of this WorldI would recommend this to a friend! This set is purely amazing. It captures almost every aspect of this iconic spacecraft which was used to accomplish many great things. One of which was carrying the amazing Hubble Space Telescope up into orbit where it remains today. The addition of the Hubble in this set was a great choice and it looks amazing both by itself and inside of the Discovery. Speaking of the Discovery, man I could look at the set all day and still be in awe of how great it looks. I was so amazed at how the designer was able to make the leading edge of the wing flush against the main wing. Some of the functions on this set I think are great and almost feel like extra, like I would have bought this set even if it didn't have them. The ailerons, rudder/airbrake, and landing gear are all just wonderful. They work so perfectly and deploying the landing gear from the rear is so satisfying to do as it's a swift click and the gear are deployed and ready to land. The cargo bay of the Discovery is also great and looks amazing with the addition of the mirrored stickers on the inside of the doors that add just that extra bit of detail which can be consistently found across this set. I have nothing negative to say about this set and I think this is one of those sets that looks so much better in person.Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Was this helpful?55NASA Space Shuttle Discovery
