What time is it? Build time! But at a hefty price.
Purchased for: SelfAs an Adventure Time fan I was incredibly excited when this set came out. I swallowed the price and bought it. While I don't regret it, I felt the price did not match the build time nor the variety of pieces included. $50 is awfully pricey for the included builds. I would have also loved to have seen more of the characters that were included in the original Lego Ideas by aBetterMonkey. Some of those characters were the snail, Lumpy Space Princess, Tree Trunks, and the Lich. Including some of those characters, even the small ones, would have made this set a greater value. At the very least, including Lumpy Space Princess should have been a requirement.Play Experience4.0Value for Money2.0

Great for the fans
I would recommend this to a friend!
Purchased for: SelfLots of people are angry at the price and I don't blame them. For such little pieces and the easy possibility of people recreating these figures themselves with a little imagination, it makes it a tough buy. However being a big fan of Adventure Time I caved in and purchased this set. Once I got into the box, it was interesting to see lego putting detail inside the box as well, going to add simple quotes kids and fans can live by. I enjoyed this set a lot, seeing the figures in person is just a dream. Overall, I wouldn't be surprise to see a price drop in the near future.. I mean American prices are around $50~ and in Canada it's an extra $10 at $64.99, plus high taxes.Play Experience5.0Value for Money3.0

$50 per Hour
Purchased for: SelfI agree with what all the other reviewers have said. I'd like add that the cost per hour(s) of entertainment (build time) is extremely high. It took my girlfriend and myself only an hour to build this set (each building one character at a time). That's $50 per hour of entertainment. Sets like the detective studio cost more ($160) but took over 8 hours to build - giving it a much better entertainment value. There were almost no unique or rare pieces in this set and with zero minifigs it's hard to justify the $50 price point. I think $35 dollars is a much more reasonable cost.January 16, 2017Haley - Consumer Service Specialist, Consumer ServicesIt's awesome that you and your girlfriend like to build together! We've passed along your feedback about the price to our team in charge of setting price points. It is likely that because there were several unique printed elements made exclusively for this set that the price point may have been a bit higher. Thanks for the honest feedback!Play Experience2.0Value for Money1.0

If you know what to expect, then this is great!
I would recommend this to a friend!
Purchased for: SelfFirst of all, I have to say, I got a new set from Amazon with ~30 bucks, which makes all the arguments of 'too expensive' invalid to me. There is always a good deal out there somewhere, you just have to look it up ;) or you just have to wait. Overall, it's a pleasant building experience. I'm not a fan of Adventure Time. I haven't even watched a full episode. I bought this set mainly because it's on sale and I was attracted by this cubic design of figures. Things I like: - The color, absolutely love the vivid color. Those pieces could be very useful for some personal lego work. - Though the set doesn't come with a scene of a bigger stage for the characters, they did add some decorations to every one of them, which makes me feel the personalities they might have (like I said, I hardly know those figures, but I'm still happy with it). Things could be improved: - The unicorn looks so scary.... and I really didn't enjoy building it. (btw, my favorite is the ice king) - Split this one into smaller sets, then I can chose to buy the ones I really want.Play Experience4.0Value for Money3.0
