New Driving Schools Reopen, Starting All-New Summer Journey at LEGOLAND® California Resort!

CARLSBAD, CA (May 21, 2025) – The engines are revving once again at LEGOLAND® California Resort as the Park celebrates the reopening of its beloved Driving Schools. With streamers flying, horns honking, and kids cheering, the launch featured a giant LEGO® gear built from more than 2,500 LEGO bricks—setting the LEGO vehicles in drive and sending the first group of young drivers on their way.

Located in Fun Town, just across from the recently announced indoor coaster opening in 2026, the refreshed Driving School tracks now include realistic road scenarios, intersections, roundabouts, and even a car wash with interactive bubbles that activate as kids drive through.

To mark the occasion, children ages 3–13 can receive a commemorative LEGOLAND driver’s license after completing the new course at either Driving School (ages 6–13) or Junior Driving School (ages 3–5). These licenses are designed LEGOLAND-style, complete with a REAL ID star, and will be available throughout a month-long celebration of the reimagined experience. Families can also meet the new LEGO® Race Car Driver and enjoy roadside-themed bites and treats.
