Hippo

Ashwing is an earth dragon, the sworn protector of the Goblin King, and once his best friend before he became evil. Back then, she was playful and happy, but mind-control has turned her quite mad… She is now kept in chains under the Goblin King’s fortress. Powers: Ashwing is a stone-singer. Strengths: Incredibly strong and alert guardian. Flaws: Sleeps too little, which makes her even more grumpy. Has a strong desire to destroy. Skills: Uses her rumbling call to sense minerals deep within the earth. Favorite things: When Cronan takes her flying. Although she is always in chains when they fly. Did you know: Sometimes she dreams about her happy past, but she doesn’t let herself believe it’s real.

Bieblin is very happy with his life. He thinks he’s the most awesome goblin ever. He always carries a snack with him because it’s just stupid to do anything on an empty stomach. He’s lazy unless it has something to do with food or music. He loves to entertain the goblins in the village by playing his guitar and singing his own amazing songs. Skills: The born entertainer. Can turn anything into an instrument. Flaws: Quite selfish, noisy and lazy, just a liiiittle bit of a diva.

Lula is a female baby water dragon. She is sweet, but quite a handful! Powers: She’s only just beginning to discover them! Strength: Brave, always happy, and believes she can conquer the magical world! Flaws: Sometimes acts before she thinks and needs help getting out of trouble! Skills: Has a special talent for sneaking into places she’s not supposed to be. How else would she learn how things work? Favorite things: Exploring Elvendale, any way she possibly can! And avoiding evil plants. Did you know: She once stowed away aboard Aira’s airship when the elves visited Tidus’ Dragon School because she couldn’t wait to start school!

Aira the wind elf is like a breath of fresh air. She is always happy, hyperactive and charismatic. She loves to solve problems here and now, so everyone can move on, and with her great knowledge she is often able to solve technical issues. People-problems, however, are more complicated, and her tendency to tell the blunt truth with horrible timing is not always regarded as helpful. Powers: Controls air and wind, but sometimes she has to be reminded of that... Strengths: Active, quick, very good at technical problems, smart, confident, bright, encouraging, ingenious, creative and inventive. Flaws: A bit too honest and she loves gossip. She is terribly unmusical, has no patience and is not the world’s best listener. Skills: Controls the wind and has a special connection with flying creatures. Favorite things: Gadgets, inventions and mechanisms. Did you know: She lives in the mountains with her bird friend Pluma.

Mr. Spry is the squirrel husband of Mrs. Spry. He runs his little shop with nuts of all kinds. He only accepts trades as payment. He’s got a sharp eye for a good deal, and is friendly and caring to all magical creatures. Except the evil ones, of course.

Sapphire is a water dragon that has bonded with Rosalyn. She is brave and caring. Even though she is still scarred after Ashwing’s attack, she and Rosalyn keep fighting to heal the forest and all its creatures. Powers: Sapphire is a mind healer dragon. Strengths: Is willing to risk her life to help others, and she has the strength to fight even the most evil powers. Flaws: When she’s injured, she turns those around her tense and argumentative. Skills: Her presence makes anyone feel more calm and relaxed when they are near. Favorite things: Fighting for peace in Elvendale. Did you know: Her powers are so strong, she was able to resist the Goblin King’s mind-control!

Merina the water dragon is still a teenager. She’s the only dragon who doesn’t hate water. And she ADORES Naida. She is not very… outgoing. She likes the comforts of home, which is anywhere that’s close to Naida. Merina is still a little insecure and craves Naida’s attention and reassurance more than a dragon typically would. Powers: Soothing water magic. Strengths: Curious and playful like a child – it takes time to get to know her, but she’ll never leave your side once you’re her friend. Flaws: She can be a little impulsive, emotional, and lazy sometimes, and a teensy bit clumsy. Skills: Can manipulate water and summon it into the air by flapping her wings. Favorite things: WATER! And her cozy home, which is anywhere that’s close to Naida. Did you know: She is almost faster under water than in the air!

The Goblin King is not actually a goblin… He is a power-hungry elf who wants to create a perfect world. By perfect, he means one where he’s the king of everything. He will destroy or curse anything that stands in his way. He uses his Shadow Amulet and his dark magic to mind-control the weak-minded goblins. And now he is after Emily’s amulet to make his kingdom even bigger! Powers: Dark magic, mind-control Strengths: Powerful, smart, charming, handsome Flaws: Lies to get what he wants, moody, has a bad temper. Skills: Can control his temper if it means he can trick others into giving him what he wants. Favorite things: Making his kingdom bigger. Did you know: He can sleep with his eyes open!

Lumia is one of the oldest elves in Elvendale and the Guardian of Light. She always chooses her words carefully and her ancient wisdom and faith help her keep the magic of Elvendale balanced. She is a shapeshifter and can transform into a white wolf or a delicate bird. When she meets Emily, she has already learned much more about her than anyone realizes. She quickly becomes Emily’s protector and teacher in the art of magic. Lumia lives in the Elvenstar Tree and guards the portal to the Shadow World where she banished Noctura to almost a thousand years ago. Now, it seems, this portal may no longer be the only one…

Tidus Stormsufer, Dragon Trainer, is in fact a strong water elf. He loves to learn all about how to act around dragons and “connect” with them. He’s a caring soul, and he is grateful for every friendly fellow being that crosses his path. He feels very close to animals, nature, and is fascinated by the mysteries of life. Will often lose his train of thought in the middle of a --- oh, look! A squirrel! Strengths: Wise, honorable, honest, well known and liked, idealistic, tactful, polite, patient, good listener, and a bit mysterious. Flaws: Thinks a lot! Often looks to books for answers instead of within. He needs his space once in a while, which sometimes comes across quite rude. Skills: Strong ability to control water. Great with animals but especially dragons (very rare). Favorite things: Antiques of any kind, books, feathered pens and quality paper, dragons, and anything connected to dragons.

Naida the water elf is an adventurer at heart. She is a sensitive daydreamer, who is not afraid to follow her dreams and loves to sail the Izdur Ocean. With her quiet bravery and wisdom she is pretty popular, and her empathetic, nice and patient personality makes her an important element in a group. Powers: Controls bodies of water: the sea, lakes and waterfalls. Strengths: Confident, helpful, nurturing and wise. Flaws: Daydreamer, a bit quieter than the rest, and can be quite stubborn at times. Skills: She controls water and has a special relationship with all water animals; she is quite powerful for her age. She can make others feel special. Favorite things: Adventures, maps, friendship, animals and board games, sailing and spending time in the spa. Did you know: Naida lives by the water in her houseboat, and sometimes she stays in an old beautiful spa, where her friend Delphia the dolphin lives.
