How to make a really easy paper house craft

How to make a really easy paper house craft

You will need:
Ruler
Pencil
White card
Cutting mat
Craft knife
Double-sided tape

Step 1: Use a ruler and pencil to measure and draw two, 2½in by 11in (6cm x 28cm) strips from white card. Place a cutting mat down to protect your workspace, and then use a ruler and craft knife to score out the strips.

Step 2: On one strip, use the ruler and pencil to measure and mark 2½in (6cm) intervals, before scoring each mark lightly with a craft knife.

Step 3: Fold the card along each line and into a square. Secure with a small strip of double-sided tape.

Step 4: Take the second strip of card, and then use a ruler and pencil to mark the following places: 1/2in (1cm), 3in (7.5cm), 5½in (14cm), and 6in (15cm).

Step 5: Use a ruler to measure out a 5½in (14cm) square onto orange card. Use scissors to cut out the square, and then round off the corners.

Step 6: Fold the card into a triangular roof shape.

Step 7: Hold the hat pointy-side down, and then use a hot glue gun to stick the tabs to the inside of the cone.

Top tip: Make a bunch of houses in different colored card for a funky row of beach huts.
