We opened our new factory here in 2014, and we’ve been growing ever since. Today, we’re the biggest LEGO® factory in the EU. Our team produces and manufactures all sorts of LEGO bricks and sets every day, which bring joy to children all over the world.

A closer look at manufacturing in Nyíregyháza

Our talented team turns the LEGO Group’s biggest ideas into sets and experiences enjoyed all around the world. We mold the LEGO bricks, decorate and assemble the characters and then pack it all up, ready for delivery. You’ll also find a 24/7 IT Support team here.

Molding
Working across three production modules, we store and dry hundreds of tons of plastic granulate before heating it up to 230 to 310°C (446-590°F) and injecting it into molds. We create millions of LEGO bricks of all shapes and colors every week, and we make sure every single one is perfect.
Processing
This is where we put faces on the world’s favorite LEGO characters. Using 83 specialist machines, we assemble, decorate and produce different minifigures as well as lots of other LEGO elements.
Packing
There are two parts to our packing area. The first is where we pack elements into prepacks, making sure that not a single element gets missed out. In the second, we pack boxes with prepacks, instructions and smiles, ready to go to stores across the region. And we’re proud to be moving from plastic to paper-based packaging.
Logistics
It takes a lot of materials and resources to keep our operation moving. Our high-bay and manual warehouse stores the millions of LEGO elements that we decorate, assemble and pack. In this team, we make sure everything is received, stored, supplied and shipped to the highest possible standards.
Maintenance
The team here does an awesome job of keeping our production departments running smoothly. They take care of our machines, solve problems and carry out repairs. They work with all kinds of different technologies and operating systems, and are always on hand to fix production issues as they arise.
Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety
We work across all production areas to ensure that all LEGO bricks and sets made in the factory are perfect. This makes our System-in-Play work and all parts fit perfectly with those we made decades ago. Our EHS team makes sure that every one of our colleagues is safe and healthy during working hours. They also offer a wide range of health-related activities.
Training Organization
Our focus is to help everyone here, whatever their job, to build their skills and become even better at what they do. We develop initiatives and deliver training to help every member of our Molding, Packing and Processing teams to do their very best work.
Global IT Service Desk
Our factory does not only produce great LEGO products. We’re also home to a team who provide the LEGO Group colleagues all around the world with invaluable IT assistance. Wherever they are and whenever they need support, we are here to help.
