Core responsibilities

• Manage product development process in collaboration with EMS suppliers & internal stakeholders, from portfolio phase until market exit, with focus on outstanding quality
• Secure reliability of smooth, on-time delivery and outstanding quality of project development & outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement in cost reduction, lead-time reduction and process optimization

• Support and Manage Global Category Plan – Regional Sourcing Requirements, Market Intelligence
• Co-develop a sourcing strategy and execution plan for global, regional & local suppliers
• Build & Manage local/ regional/ global supplier relationships, contracting/ negotiation processes, track performance & drive improvement plans, risk migration and supplier management strategy
• Help lead global initiatives through global category forums
• Uplift supplier performance
• Drive the open book cost model with OEM/ODM suppliers
• Lead RFQ (request for quotation) process, secure best pricing, negotiate costs with aim of cost saving
• Develop and drive supply platform to support novelty development & replenishment
• Groom, evaluate, redevelop the supply platform constantly to maintain the best supply platform mix
• Perform ongoing cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by suppliers, ensure highest quality at lowest possible cost

• Manage and minimize product risk & supplier risk by preventive action and contingency plan
• Drive and improve supplier relationship & performance in collaboration with other stakeholders to mitigate supply risk

• Ensure high-quality, high-performance production process
• Manage resolution of quality issues in product life cycle

• Drive regional stakeholder management & KPI execution
• Ensure smooth operational momentum in production, quality and on-time delivery
• Ensure strong collaboration with the team located across Asia and Europe

• Understand the requirements and maintain healthy & safe work environment for self and others
• Share best practices globally; be responsible for governance and compliance, uphold LEGO policies & practices
• Continuously seek improvements in daily work independently
• Support management & global team with various responsibilities, initiatives and projects
• Support development of others within functional area

• Build a strong collaboration with cross-functional team within the Extended Line category; there are a lot of alignment with expectation of stakeholders and capability of suppliers that needs a holistic view.
• Build the Global category network with site/ regional procurement & receives their local inputs and collaboration.
• Shows flexibility to work in groups or in close networks and appreciates strength in working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Uses resources available from others by asking questions, testing assumptions and openly discussing issues
• Readily accepts and uses expertise and input from others to further develop own knowledge and skills
Demonstrates a consistent and open communication style
• Degree in Business management, supply chain management , Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline

Do you have what it takes?

• Degree in Business management, supply chain management , Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
• 15 years or above relevant working experience: EMS account management, strategic sourcing/ project management with high quality deliverables in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and analytical skills with ability to develop & manage supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methodologies & processes of mechatronics as PCBA, Box build, injection molding
• Proven experience in open book cost model
• Strong knowledge in relevant commodity markets, key players and transactions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong strategic & analytical thinking abilities
• Solution and results orientation with proven ability to deliver
• Proactive and collaborative
• Willingness and ability to travel
• SAP, Oracle or other MRP experience
•Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint skills
