As Marketing Manager for LEGO Ventures you will get a chance to look ahead to what future Systems in Play might be, and use your skills and energy to help them grow.
An exciting journey aheadLEGO Ventures is a brand new part of KIRKBI and the LEGO Brand Group, and is a newcomer to the Corporate Venture space. There are two main elements to this marketing position. The first core responsibility is focused around B2C marketing, supporting our portfolio of investments & startups with their marketing activities – acting as a sparring partner around their marketing plans, with particular focus on growth and performance marketing, and advising them on how to build their audience & consumer base. A secondary key aspect of the role will more B2B oriented, with a responsibility in establishing the LEGO Ventures brand and communication style – how do we want to be perceived as an investor, what DNA do we bring from LEGO Group, how are we distinct from the core entities. Giving LEGO Ventures a voice in our outbound comms is an important part of this position (managing & posting on key channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, IG) and ensuring we are attending the right events, talking to the right journalists and presenting the right brand image.
A strong understanding of what LEGO Ventures & Portfolio-related content will appeal both internally within LEGO and externally is also relevant, and the creative eye to work with agencies to develop and publish the content on a regular basis.
Core ResponsibilitiesSupporting portfolio companies with their marketing and comms where relevant - helping them grow their audience, consumer base and business
Establishing and evolving the LEGO Ventures brand and identity, ensuring this is consistent across the board
Responsible for planning and executing the outbound LEGO Ventures communication via both direct and indirect channels (eg website, Twitter, LinkedIn)
Plan and create regular compelling content around LEGO Ventures and our investment portfolio to share internally and externally
Plans and owns the LEGO Ventures events calendar – supporting our regional investment partners in planning LV activities globally
Do you have what it takes?Have at least 3+ years experience working in a marketing role
Overall understanding of growth & performance marketing
Some PR/Comms experience would be ideal
Knowledge around content marketing would be advantageous
Ideally both B2B and B2C marketing experience
Growth marketing experience would be a bonus
