Do you want to be part of the team that provides key inputs into the Demand Plan and collaborates with internal and external functions to develop and implement operational strategies and tactics to deliver key business metrics that support LEGO®

The CDPM develops,maintains and leads alignment with retailers on joint sales,shipment and inventory plans. Collaborates across internal functions to bring critical retailer insights and assumptions. Owns the external partnership with the retailer’s planning team and engages directly with the buyer.

Core Responsibilities

1.Develop and maintain joint consumer sales plan for assigned retailer(s)
•Successfully balance trend-based analysis with trend-changing assumptions (ex: estimating the impact and incremental nature of new commercial opportunities) to develop realistic sales plan (updated monthly)
•This plan supports multiple objectives, and therefore is developed and maintained at various levels of granularity (ex: top-line, theme, item) and currencies (NIP $ and Retail $)

2.Develop and maintain joint shipment and inventory plans for assigned retailer(s)
•Collaborate across external functions (i.e. buying, planning, replenishment) to develop monthly goals that support joint business objectives.
•Recommend operational strategies that improve business results and better deliver on LEGO’s unrivaled proposition.

3.Lead planning alignment with retailer(s)
•Directly engage the buyer / planner on recommended updates to the plan, communicate rationale behind proposed changes, validate customer input and feedback, and negotiate alignment on plan (with support from the Key Account Director)

4.Facilitate alignment on assumptions used in TLG’s U.S. Demand Plan
•Share and validate assumptions in TLG’s U.S. Demand Plan
•Filter value-add insights (with appropriate context) from retailer dialogues into U.S. S&OP discussions through Sr. Demand Planning Manager


This role exists to lead / drive planning alignment between two partners with often-conflicting goals / success criteria. As a result, securing alignment on a plan that satisfies both parties can be difficult, especially when the business is under-performing to expectations or when retailer input cannot be analytically validated. The person in this role is encouraged to work these challenges to minimize trade-offs and bias in the plan.

•Ability to generate actionable insights from data using data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel
•Ability to communicate insights and supporting data to influence strategy
•Strong understanding of retail math (cost of goods, initial mark up, gross margin $, gross margin %, etc.)
•Independent problem solving and decision making skills
•Candidates must have B2B experience, strong influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to identify and develop data-driven solutions that benefit multiple stakeholders
•2-3 years related experience with account management, category management and / or forecasting at the customer level.
