Job Description

Are you motivated by enabling leaders to operate differently and transforming how a global engineering organisation delivers performance?

This is a unique opportunity to act as a LEAN Transformation Partner, working closely with senior leaders across Engineering & Workplace - including Manufacturing Design & Implementation (MD&I) - to embed the Engineering Management System as a living way of working.

The Management System - comprising leadership routines, governance, and performance practices that drive alignment and execution - is a core part of how Engineering & Workplace translates strategy into delivery.

In this role, you will operate where strategy, system design, and operational reality meet - ensuring that ways of working are not only defined, but actively applied and sustained within a core delivery environment.

The role requires someone who combines strong transformation capability with practical operational experience - able to engage from the shopfloor to senior leadership, ensuring that change is both strategically aligned and grounded in real delivery environments, strengthening accountability, and embedding sustainable behaviours across a complex, global organisation

In this context, LEAN goes beyond tools and methodologies - it represents a management and leadership approach that integrates performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement into how the organisation operates every day.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Enable Leadership to Operate Through the Engineering Management System
Partner with leaders to embed management routines, governance, and behaviours - ensuring the system is actively used to drive alignment, decision-making, and performance

  • Apply the Management System in a Delivery Environment
Translate the Engineering Management System into practical ways of working within MD&I, ensuring it is effectively applied to support delivery, scalability, and performance

  • Drive System-Level Performance and Improvement
Work with leaders to identify and address systemic performance gaps across value streams and functions, using performance insights & structured problem-solving where appropriate, to identify gaps, unlock opportunities while ensuring delivered solutions are sustained through leadership routines and behaviours

  • Translate Strategy into Operating Reality
Support leaders in turning strategic priorities into clear objectives, meaningful success measures, and disciplined performance follow-up across the organisation

  • Strengthen Leadership Capability and Accountability
Coach and challenge leaders to adopt a strong performance mindset — enabling them to prioritise effectively, manage trade-offs, and lead improvement through their teams

  • Act as a Trusted Transformation Partner
Influence across functions, sites, and leadership levels without formal authority, building alignment and reinforcing a strong ONE TEAM approach

  • Bring Operational Insight and Credibility
Apply hands-on experience from engineering or operational environments to ensure transformation efforts are grounded in real delivery challenges and practical application

  • Embed Sustainable Change
Ensure improvements are not one-off initiatives, but are anchored in leadership behaviour, routines, and system-wide ways of working

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will play a key role in transforming how Engineering & Workplace delivers as one integrated system.

Partnering closely with Manufacturing Design & Implementation (MD&I) - a function responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions across moulding, automated warehousing, and logistics systems - you will operate in a delivery-intensive environment requiring a deep understanding of end-to-end operations and the scaling of solutions across sites.

In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between how the organisation is designed to operate and how work is actually executed - ensuring that management systems and leadership behaviours are effectively applied in day-to-day operations.

You will enable consistent ways of working across regions, functions, and value streams - strengthening performance, transparency, and collaboration across Engineering & Workplace.

This is a high-impact role for someone comfortable operating at system level, while maintaining the credibility to engage directly with operational realities.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience driving transformation and operational excellence within complex engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments

  • Strong ability to influence and coach senior leaders, driving behavioural and performance change

  • Demonstrated experience in applying LEAN principles & delivering improvement projects within operational environments, combined with the ability to elevate these into leadership practices and system-level improvements

  • Strong track record of connecting strategy, performance, and execution

  • Experience working with management systems, governance frameworks, or operating models

  • Ability to operate effectively across all organisational levels - from shopfloor to senior leadership

  • Strong business acumen and confidence influencing in matrixed, global organisations

  • Experience working in engineering, manufacturing, or operational environments - such as moulding, automation, or logistics systems - is an advantage

  • Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity, and cross-functional environments
