Job Description
Do you want to play a key role in shaping the LEGO Group’s global approach to Human Rights & ESG Compliance as part of the Corporate Sustainability team?

Core Responsibilities
Set the direction for ESG compliance by partnering with Legal, Governance & Public Affairs and other key partners to identify, interpret, and assess emerging ESG due diligence and human rights regulations
Translate regulation into frameworks and guidance by developing enterprise-wide compliance roadmaps, policies, and governance structures in line with our human rights and sustainability strategy that enable business units to implement requirements effectively
Orchestrate key ESG compliance roadmaps (such as Forced Labour regulations and EU Deforestation Regulations) overseeing progress, risks, and reporting – while mobilizing implementation and ensuring clear accountability sits within the business
Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing expert guidance to functions such as Procurement on ESG compliance requirements, value chain risks, expectations etc.
Stay on top of external trends and evolutions of the regulatory landscape and global frameworks for human rights and ESG due diligence to anticipate future impacts on the business and guide needed improvements
Enable effective cross-functional governance by supporting Responsible Sourcing Steering Committee and Working Group to ensure effective collaboration and execution of LEGO Group priorities and efforts to manage supply chain risks

Sustainability is a globally based team leading strategic planning and target setting, providing thought leadership and strong program governance to enable our high sustainability ambitions and drive impact both inside and outside the LEGO Group through a commercial logic. The team is led by our Chief Sustainability Officer reporting directly to the CEO.
This role sits within the Human Rights & ESG Compliance team, which defines the LEGO Group’s human rights strategy, policies, and drives the ESG compliance approach, ensuring strong governance, due diligence, and transparency across the organization.
As part of this central team, you will operate at a corporate level and in collaboration with the rest of the team, set direction and advise the business while enabling effective implementation through strong partnerships across functions. The role reports to the Senior Director, Human Rights & ESG Compliance.
Do you have what it takes?
Master’s degree or other relevant degree such as law, social science, or business administration or equivalent experience
Proven expertise within ESG and human rights regulations (e.g. EU CSDDD, EUDR, EUBR), corporate compliance & ethics, and sustainability
Strong experience in designing compliance frameworks, governance models, and enterprise-level programs
Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior partners and drive alignment across complex, global organizations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear, actionable guidance
Strong analytical skills, including risk assessment and development of pragmatic, scalable solutions
Experience working for a global brand and/or in global teams; highly proficient in both spoken and written English
A strategic, structured, and pragmatic approach with a passion for shaping direction and enabling others to succeed
