Job Description

Bring your passion and experience to help drive our Skills Development programs for Interactive Play Design, supporting the continuous evolvement of LEGO play experiences and empowering our design community through innovative and impactful learning experiences! 

Please Note:

  • This position is on a nine-month fixed-term contract basis until June 2027

  • Hybrid working model is 3 days office/2 days home weekly.

Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Learning Design Manager, you will set the directions and be responsible for the skill development and learning curriculum for advancing interactive play design skills, supported by the Head of Design & Innovation Skill Development. In close collaboration with internal partners, you will set priorities for skills development and align the approach to bring it to life in the organization. Moreover, you will: 

  • Develop, review and update the tactical learning and skill development plans based on wider L&D strategy as well as the business and design strategy.

  • Own the end-to-end learning lifecycle for interactive play design learning experiences, from initial discovery and scoping of skill learning journeys to communication, delivery and measurement of learning experiences.

  • Lead the collaboration between skill development specialists, play designers and design team leaders to design and implement high quality learning solutions that drive skill growth.

  • Champion a learning through play learning methodology to ensure a fit with the diverse learning audience of both academic and non-academic educated colleagues and inspire a learning culture.

  • Play your part in learning delivery and facilitation to stay in close connection with our learners, and inspire with design thought leadership

The People & Leadership Development organization is driving the LEGO Group’s transformation into a future-ready, skills-based organization. We partner with design leaders to identify the most critical capabilities and ensure that all colleagues have access to the skills they need to grow, adapt, and succeed. 

Based out of Billund, you will play a pinnacle role in expanding the existing design skills building program to boost the LEGO Group’s design and creative skills of the future, via engaging and insight driven learning programs. 

 

Do you know what it takes? 

To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have proven experience in leading skill development for design disciplines, either in-company or in an education/coaching agency or consultancy. Moreover, we expect to see: 

  • Extensive experience in designing interactive play.

  • Strong business understanding coupled with strategic thinking.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Strong co-creation and networking skills with the ability to co-create and develop collaborative working relationships across different functions and teams.

  • Competency in project development leadership, ensuring development, execution and delivery of learning development projects.

  • Proficient in English (spoken & written) .
