Core Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a vital role in securing the reliability and quality of our LEGO bricks (elements) through robust validation processes and data-driven insights. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the entire value chain and use data analytics, ensuring that elements are consistently delivered at the right quality level with a clear understanding of the underlying data. More specifically, you will:  

  • Apply advanced analytics daily to interpret validation data, ensuring accurate evaluation and validation of elements.

  • Identify and implement cutting-edge and innovative validation techniques to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

  • Support stakeholders from development to production during the validation process to ensure the highest element quality with a data-driven foundation.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate validation processes into product development.

  • Resolve validation challenges using creative and effective solutions.

  • Mentor junior engineers and lead validation initiatives with a strong focus on innovation.

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will join our Element & Mould Validation (EMV) team, which serves as the final validation and qualification point before manufacturing. The team ensures that all elements and moulds are delivered according to the right standards, specifications and timelines. Furthermore, they act as the bridge between innovation/development and industrialisation/manufacturing, while safeguarding the integrity of the LEGO® building system. 

The team, located in Billund, Denmark, consists of 11 highly specialized colleagues with strong expertise across the value chain. 

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of proven knowledge and hands-on experience working with Validation & Qualification, Data-Driven Analysis, Quality Standards or similar. In addition, you bring a strong end-to-end value chain understanding, with insight into how processes are interconnected throughout the product (element) journey, preferably gained from an engineering, manufacturing, or quality environment. Furthermore, you have: 

  • Engineering educational background with knowledge about Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent technical field.

  • End-to-end understanding from element design through to production.

  • Solid experience with SPC, Cp/Cpk, control charts, and capability analysis. 

  • Proven experience using visualization tools such as Volume Graphics and PiWeb to analyze and communicate data insights.

  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex validation challenges.

  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities and dynamic environments.

  • Experience working with SAP or similar systems.

  • Ability to foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure effective alignment and execution.

  • Strong skills in communicating complex validation results and data-driven insights to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal.

It will be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from injection moulding, plastic or additive manufacturing industry 

  • Ability to ensure precision in validation processes and related documentation.

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Bi, Data Manager or similar. 

  • Understanding of the LEGO value chain and building system.

  • Danish language skills.
