Are you passionate about Additive Manufacturing (AM) and have proven experience with Build preparation? Take this opportunity to play an important role in developing and maturing AM technologies in the LEGO Group!

Core Responsibilities

As Senior AM Engineer, Build Developer, for Element Maturing you will be essential to ensure we bring AM to large scale manufacturing while securing the right quality. We take over from our R&D Teams to further fine tune and bring the technology to the next level. To be specific you will:

  • Be responsible for developing production build jobs for AM element maturing.

  • Ensure the quality of AM produced parts through testing and data analysis.

  • Develop and standardize our AM workflow and its integration to other LEGO processes.

  • Build capabilities within DfAM and AM in LEGO to further expand our AM program.

  • Define process variables in close collaboration with process engineers.

  • Collaborate with LEGO® stakeholders and team to secure and improve part quality.

  • Mature and scale our production platform focusing on quality and volume.

  • Support the exploration and implementation of new software tools to improve and automate processes throughout the AM value chain.

Based in our Billund office, you will join our Element Maturing team which is working on developing and maturing LEGO® elements using Additive Manufacturing. You will be working closely together with our stakeholders to develop and mature high quality LEGO® elements using our selected technologies.

We are part of Additive Engineering, a bigger and diverse organization focusing on the development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials, and applications. We are focusing on both metal and polymer AM production for different applications and in close collaboration with stakeholders and partners. The aim is pushing and driving the AM industry and its technologies towards true large-scale manufacturing.

Do you have what it takes?

We imagine you are innovative, imaginative and can think-out-of-the-box meaning that developing new things that have never been available before come natural to you. You are proactive and take initiative, while being able to work in a fast-growing and challenging environment. Furthermore, you have:

  • 3+ years of experience working within Additive Manufacturing

  • Proven experience with Build Preparation Software such as Materialise Magics

  • Strong CAD skills and experience with GD&T, reading, and creating 2D drawings.

  • Programming experience, preferably Python

  • Experience working with maturing parts using DFM methodologies

  • Knowledge about polymer AM technologies

  • Strong analytical skills in analyzing and understanding data

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with proficiency in English
