Job Description

Are you a maintenance leader ready to keep the machines behind one of the world's most iconic toys?

Bring your engineering expertise and leadership skills to LMV (LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam) and take full ownership of machine reliability — leading a skilled maintenance team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring every moulding machine performs at world-class standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure all LEGO moulding machines and equipment are maintained in optimal condition, meeting production reliability, safety, and quality standards.

  • Develop and execute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance strategies and plans, ensuring timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities and prompt resolution of unplanned breakdowns.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across machinery and processes, actively applying Lean, Six Sigma, and LCI tools to reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and lower maintenance costs.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance support across all shifts, providing 24/7 coverage to production and ensuring rapid, effective response to critical and chronic equipment issues.

  • Manage spare parts planning and procurement, ensuring the availability of critical spare parts to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.

  • Set individual and team goals, track performance, and support the training and professional development of maintenance personnel.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders — including Production, Engineering, Moulds, and Quality — to align maintenance activities with broader operational objectives and meet customer needs.

  • Participate in new machinery development and rollout projects in coordination with the project and engineering teams.

  • Coordinate with maintenance counterparts at other LEGO global sites to share knowledge, align on best practices, and contribute to the development of global machine maintenance standards.

  • Ensure full compliance with the Integrated Management System (QEHS), including all relevant legal requirements, internal and external standards, and safety protocols; take ownership of QEHS implementation and effectiveness within the maintenance area.

  • Report downtime, equipment issues, and shift performance data, and take accountability for the identification and resolution of root causes.

  • Serve as the acting head of the machine maintenance area in the absence of the department head, ensuring continuity of all maintenance operations.

Play Your Part in Our Team Succeeding

The Moulding Machine Maintenance team at LMV is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of all LEGO equipment and machinery through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Our focus areas include: upholding world-class safety standards, providing production and process support, driving continuous improvement in machinery and processes, and leading the rollout of new machinery projects.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with LEGO maintenance and engineering teams across our global sites, contribute to R&D-driven improvements, and apply a systematic continuous improvement mindset to help LMV achieve world-class maintenance management.

This position also offers a clear path for professional growth — with opportunities to expand your expertise within the maintenance function and pursue lateral or upward movement across departments such as Production, Moulds, Quality, and Engineering.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (mandatory).

  • Additional technical certifications or qualifications in a related discipline are a plus.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

  • A minimum of 3 years in a people management or team leadership role.

  • Solid working knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and electronics.

  • Demonstrated experience in Preventive and Corrective Maintenance planning and execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience applying problem-solving methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma.

  • Knowledge of machine safety standards and industrial technical drawings.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in standard computer applications and maintenance management systems.

  • Highly structured, self-directed, and collaborative, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

  • High degree of flexibility, dedication, and commitment, with the ability to perform under pressure.

  • Willingness to travel internationally to other LEGO global sites as required.

  • Advanced oral and written English and Vietnamese proficiency

  • Experience in injection plastic manufacturing or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment.

  • Formal certification or practical experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or LCI tools.

  • Experience with project management and the rollout of new machinery or equipment.
