This position is key to secure that internal customers get the spare parts import shipment in all the service levels needed by the LEGO Manufacturing site in Monterrey and to secure compliant operations in the specific traffic & appointed customs.
Core Responsibilities
- Be responsible for import operations with Customs Brokers to ensure timely, compliant execution and coordinate to ensure timely, efficient deliveries to the accurate location.
- Keep systems and tools updated to ensure accurate data flow to Customs and Brokers, maintaining compliance and brand protection.
- Maintain and update processes, SOPs, and user guides to support long-term compliance and key certifications (AEO, IMMEX, etc.).
- Collaborate daily with Customs Brokers and internal teams (Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement) to support operations.
- Identify and address operational risks daily, raising to management when vital.
- Drive process improvements through LCI, focusing on simplification and quality improvement.
- Ensure IMS compliance through consistent, systematic processes aligned with the LCI way of working.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven experience working in IMMEX and AEO companies in similar position, preferable also VAT-IEPS certified companies or working in Mexican Customs brokers agencies coordinating import – export shipments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce or similar.
- Basic knowledge of Mexican International Trade Law, Mexican Customs Law, Customs Rules, General Rules, Free Trade Agreements and benefits, AEO, CTPAT, VAT-IEPS Certification.
- Use of SAP or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing both in English and Spanish and comfortable in presenting complex ideas.
