Core Responsibilities

As a Compliance Engineer your main role is to support the Sustainability Compliance Manager and the sustainability program to create an agile and dynamic sustainability governance program towards our LEGO® License partners and manufactures. More specifically you will:

  • Translate aspirational directional documents into an auditable supplier governance framework

  • Secure needed evidence of supplier compliance either through supplier reporting, recognized certifications, 3rd party audits or determined audits

  • Drive the data collection greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory (scope 1 & 2 emissions) for LEGO® License partners and manufacturers

  • Engage in close dialog with key partners to ensure alignment and agile decision making

  • Actively engage in a global team culture where everybody takes part in chipping into the wellbeing internally and cross cultures

You will join Licensing and Extended Compliance team in Billund. The purpose of our team is to guard the LEGO® brand, protect the consumers and shoppers and ensure a compliant supply chain in accordance with the LEGO Groups requirements in Licensing and Extended Line.

We are part of the Quality in Markets & Challenges and Corporate Quality & EHS organization. We work closely together Licensing & Extended Line, Responsible Sourcing, Sustainability transformation team and Product Safety & Compliance.

You will act as a liaison between LEGO Extended Line Sustainability team and our team.

You possess a positive mentality, outstanding collaboration skills and the ability to establish relationships, which enables you to influence our partners in the right direction. Moreover, you have:

  • Experience with Sustainability and certifications

  • Good communication skills and ability to convert complex issues in an easy and accessible manner

  • Can translate complicated topics into something easy to understand

  • Experience with root cause analysis

  • You are a great teammate and can work across teams and handle different interested parties

  • Proficiency in English written and spoken
