Job Description
Are you obsessed with bold creative and marketing approaches that drive cut-through across all customer touchpoints and deliver business results?
We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Associate Creative Director to help support campaign ideation through end-to-end delivery and be a part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate approaches projects with creativity and passion backed by insights, has big ideas and can convey them through beautiful presentations, and understands how to work in a fast-paced global environment.
You will be responsible for designing campaigns for LEGO Retail. Working with creative direction, you will take leadership of your ideas, solving marketing challenges to ideate and design best-in-class brand expressions and experiences across retail design, print design, activations, window displays and in-store point of sale.
The Associate Creative Director is a key driver of modern experience design within the LEGO in-house commerce agency. You’re a strategic thinker and hands-on maker who understands how families and shoppers engage across digital, social, and retail ecosystems. You lead multidisciplinary teams, shape ideas from concept to execution, and bring a contemporary, insight-driven approach to crafting connected LEGO experiences. With strong foundations in design tools, collaborative platforms (including Figma), and emerging creative automation workflows, you help elevate both the work and the people around you!
What you’ll do
Lead end-to-end creative development for commerce and shopper campaigns—from insight and concepting to final delivery across digital, social, and retail touchpoints.
Partner closely with Content Producers and Creative Leads, providing creative direction and strategic input across all phases of production.
Drive ideation sessions and craft concepts that solve business challenges through modern experience design, digital thinking, and social-first creativity.
Present, articulate, and advocate for creative concepts with senior stakeholders, grounding ideas in strategy, design principles, and audience behavior.
Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional partners to align strategy, creative milestones, and executional detail.
Oversee and inspire collaboration with external specialists (illustrators, motion designers, 3D artists, structural engineers, social creators, etc.) to deliver high-craft, high-impact work.
Work hands-on in Figma and other modern creative tools to guide wireframes, prototypes, and visual directions—leveraging automation workflows where beneficial.
Champion LEGO brand standards while continually pushing the team toward innovative, forward-thinking creative solutions.
Bring industry inspiration about design, social culture, digital experiences, and shopper trends—and translate those insights into actionable creative direction.
Mentor and guide creatives, helping grow skills, confidence, and creative output across the team.
What you’ll bring
Experience leading creative teams or pods within digital, social, retail, or shopper-focused environments.
Strong conceptual and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate insights into compelling multi-channel experiences.
Fluency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, prototyping, creative automation workflows).
Confidence presenting work and influencing senior creative and business stakeholders.
Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting creative teammates in fast-paced collaborative environments.
Ability to balance big-picture creative leadership with hands-on design and problem-solving.
Curiosity, passion for creativity and play, and a commitment to inspiring families and shoppers through the LEGO brand.
