Lead the design vision, follow through strategic direction, and demonstrate skills to deliver design, guide designers, and drive cross-functional collaboration with marketers, project owners, other design fields, engineers and partners
Establish strong and effective partnerships with project leadership across the product development cycle
Establish platform thinking, design process, assets, and quality of Interaction Design
Create opportunities, stretch designers to grow and support them when challenges arise
Drive both internal and external teams, getting the best from both by scaling the design capability and design production at the appropriate time
Make trade-offs to maximize play value while maintaining production effort, performance, and time

We are reimaging the boundaries of Interaction Design and how interactivity can be an active part to transform the play experience. You will join the Interaction Design Team in Billund, Denmark, who are driving and supporting interactive play innovation for novelty product experiences. As our Design Director, you will lead with design expertise, people leadership skills, and build capabilities in a caring, fun, and creative way through solid collaboration and communication with Head of Interaction Design and key partners across the organization.
Do you have what it takes?
Theoretical background in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, UX, Computer Science, Architecture, Game Development, or another relevant field
Recurring success with demonstrating expertise to lead, design, prototype and visualize a play experience using both digital and physical means
Solid proven experience with project or people leadership from large, diverse and agile organizations or even from a start-up company
Be self-reflective and willing to develop your own people leadership skills
Show the ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations
Take initiative and ownership when driving solutions
Passion in developing playful experiences, a strong creative and systematic thinker
Hold proficiency level in English communication skills (spoken & written)
Experience with screen-free interactivity is an advantage.
This role will ideally be based in Billund, Denmark, with relocation support being offered. However, candidates based in the UK have an option to be based in London as well.
