Job Description

As a Lead Software Engineer, you provide technical leadership and will be the go-to person when team members need a hand on solving technical issues, a direction on architecture and design patterns as well as inspiration on new technologies.

You will be joining a diverse product team, Workplace Solutions, providing digital experiences to employees and guests interacting with our buildings and facilities.

The engineers within the area are organized as a DevOps team and are end-to-end responsible for architecture, configuration, coding, and full-stack development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, build and/or configure end-to-end applications through cross-team collaboration with other product team members
  • Engineer products to the highest standards of security and data privacy by implementing and following LEGO Group security and data privacy principles from ideation to production release and beyond
  • Engineer products that implement business logic, modern design patterns and architectural principles
  • Engineer products that follow highest coding standards e.g., documentation and efficiency
  • Ensure product robustness and reliability by writing and executing unit and integration tests
  • Improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks
  • Build efficient and optimal solutions by challenging ideas/opinions
  • Suggest and define future stories to support the Product Manager

Do you have what it takes?

  • A proven software engineering background with experience either as full stack, backend or web engineer
  • Proven track record in leading technically an end-to-end development team through modern agile methodologies
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages, and feel comfortable adapting, depending on how to create the best and most valuable solutions
  • Experience with mobile development (E.g., React Native)
  • Deep technical expertise within Cloud development, microservices, integrations/API development, CI/CD
  • Experience with AWS or Azure implementations
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • You are the Standout colleague that embraces diversity and enjoys a flexible and inspiring environment
  • You have the right combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills

Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
