Blaze Sandracer RP - Uninvited Guests
(RP) I watched fish jumped through our shuttle's wake as the wind whistled past my ears. Inside the low-flying dropship were eight JGD troopers, Ash, Cole, and Tasha, along with two Mon Cala warriors who had agreed to accompany us on our mission. They claimed that any drop pods landing on their planet was not just an issue to be dealt with by the NJO, but by the local Mon Cala. As we skimmed over the surface of the water, I wondered why the mysterious soldiers had landed here. I planned to capture and question at least one over the course of the anticipated skirmish.
Since I was deep in thought, I didn't even realize we had reached Outpost 9 until the shuttle began to slow. I snapped back into reality and raised electrobinoculars to my eyes. Scanning the evacuated outpost, I saw obvious signs of the fighting between the JGD and the uninvited guests. A strange dropship stood on the landing pad, surrounding by scorched wrecks of JGD and NJO equipment. I lowered the electrobinoculars as the transport came to a halt next to the loading ramp. Cole, Tasha, Ash, and I jumped down, followed by the JGD troopers and Mon Cala warriors. As soon as we made it up the ramp, a flicker of movement caught my eye.
"There! By the command center," I called out, pointing.
The soldiers formed on their captain and stalked toward the command center, blasters raised. The planet seemed to hold its breath as the JGD troops moved in on the building. Suddenly, a high-pitched yell rang out and a figure leapt up on a pile of crates. It twirled its electro-staff and flipped down onto the nearest JGD trooper, knocking his blaster out of his hand and pinning him to the ground. Within seconds, the agile invader had flashed across the loading dock and rolled behind a destroyed NJO vehicle. Meanwhile, two JGD soldiers dragged their injured comrade behind the stack of crates and propped him up on a piece of equipment. Their captain and three other soldiers then departed towards the enemy dropship with thermal detonators in their hand. They rolled them under the spacecraft, then covered their heads with their arms as four explosions rocked the ship. The left wing fell off, and the cockpit crumpled as the entire dropship was engulfed in flames. Two nimble, light-armored soldiers burst out of the flaming ship. They bounded towards the JGD troopers, attacking with a barrage of kicks and punches. One of the JGD troops crumpled, and his helmet was kicked off of his head as he fell to his knees. The JGD captain avenged his fallen trooper with a few shots with his blaster. Moments later, the second dropship pilot lay smashed at his feet. He and another JGD soldier carried their severely wounded comrade back to the landing pad and ordered a barrier to be set up. Crates were stacked up beside the ones supporting the first injured JGD troop, and soon a semi-circle was formed. Flashes of movement began to spread out across the landing pad, stemming from the command center. Soon, around twelve invaders were positioned behind wreckage within range of the barricade. The JGD troopers' hands were shaking as they lay their blasters across the tops of the crates and lined up their sights. A nervous soldier fired a shot at one of the closest aliens, causing them to bolt from their hiding places and charge the barrier. The nimble fighters vaulted over debris and deflected laser fire superior skill, with not one of their members falling before they reached the barricade. Tasha's blade cut down an attacker as it jumped the crates, while Cole engaged in a heated battle with another invader. Ash ducked as an enemy leapt into the half-circle of crates, then swung her blade around and slashed the intruder across the back. Two JGD soldiers fell, and I rushed over to fill in the gap. An invader swung his electro-staff at me, but I blocked it and used the Force to lift him up and slam him into the ground, rendering him unconscious. One of the Mon Cala was knocked against the crates by an attacker, but managed to land a kick in its ribs, causing it to fall backwards. The JGD captain finished it off with a blaster bolt. At the same time, Cole disarmed the enemy soldier he was fighting and cut through its thin armor with his lightsaber. Even as the shocked foe sank to its knees and fell sideways onto the landing pad, another had come to take its place. Then another, and another. They immediately overwhelmed Cole and bashed him against the crates. Tasha came to the rescue and cut down two with one stroke from the side, then kicked at the remaining attacker's legs, knocking him flat on the ground. By now only four enemies remained, matched with both Mon Cala, four JGD troopers, and three Jedi. One by one they fell to blaster fire or lightsabers, proving to be relatively inefficient fighters at close range. When all of the invaders lay smashed or injured, we collected the injured JGD troops, Cole, and the two surviving attackers and headed back to the shuttle, exhausted but successful, with samples and new information about the foreign threat.
Cole's left arm and leg were badly injured, but with the proper medical help, he would be able to recover. The same could be said for the three JGD troops that suffered non-mortal wounds. Now to wait for the test results. (RP Over)
