Blaze Sandracer RP - Mountain Mayhem

(RP) Ash, Boom, Tasha, Cole, and I branched out across the ridge. All of us had a speeder, as well and the Knights and Masters were in control of a large detachment of troops. Next to Tasha stood Leah Brightflower and Angela Sundancer, the two humans rescued from the Hutt's cantina. They helped out around the base most of the time, but in situations like this they were armed with standard blaster pistols and a vibroknife. As the rest of the speeder groups, led by fellow Jedi, took off to support the already-advancing Ground Division, we gunned the engines and blasted over the ridge, a small snowstorm forming behind our speeders. The path was clear for the most part, but there were numerous small bumps, and the threat of enemy snipers was present as we zoomed across the snow field. Moments later, we started the steady decent up the slope of the furthermost peak. A volley of red laser bolts tore through the chilly air and punctured the cockpits of three of the rear speeders. Metal screeched on ice as the speeders careened towards the steep cliff, and explosions shook the ground as the speeders crashed into the hard stone. I heard a yell to my left, the same direction the lasers came from, and turned to see nine enemy troops fall, almost in unison, as a barrage of laserfire blasted through their ranks. Two of my soldiers let out a cheer, but it didn't last long. As we reached our destination, on a cliff just below the summit, we were met by a squad of troops that certainly were not friendly. I ejected from my cockpit just as two shots cracked the windshield of the speeder. Angela, Leah, Cole, Tasha, and Boom did the same. Ashehna drove her speeder sideways into the attackers, then braked and turned around as she hopped out and ignited her lightsaber. The surviving troops came to a stop a short distance behind us to hold off enemy fire. Shouts could be heard from both directions as I Forced two of the enemies off the cliff. I whipped around and ducked simultaneously to avoid a blaster bolt to the shoulder, and noticed that three of our troopers had fallen. A group of enemy soldiers was positioned on a snowy ramp near the summit, pouring laserfire down on our cliff. We had more speeders than troops, so I Forced one down just in front of my soldiers so they had some cover. I turned once again to see a bright laser bolt fly from Angela's pistol and smash the last remaining enemy soldier on the overlook. She and Leah ran past me and joined the other troops, firing on the enemies. Ash had a cut on her leg, and Boom's lightsaber looked dangerously close to flickering off. "Are you two OK?" I asked, concerned.

Ash replied, "Yeah. I've just got a little scratch, and Boom's lightsaber... Well, I'm not entirely sure about that, but we'll be fine."

Cole and Tasha had received no visible injuries, and we all rushed over to help protect our troopers. Almost immediately, I deflected a laser bolt, then watched as one of the opposing troopers staggered backwards, then toppled over the side of the ramp. Cole and Tasha combined their strength to send another spare speeder flying towards the troops, crushing all but one, who quickly retreated. Ash Forced the speeder/barricade aside, making room for us to climb up the ramp. We passed the wreckage of smashed troops, broken speeder parts, and scorched stones. When we reached the top, we started into the battlefield, or what was left of it anyway. Troops from both sides lay smashed or wounded across the battlefield, and the fighting had slowed immensely since our arrival. Ashehna ran forward and cut down two enemy troops, and Boom Force-pushed another into the stone wall, knocking him out. Cole and Tasha smashed one each, and Angela, Leah, and the rest of our troops, along with the soldiers from other units, picked off the remainder of the attackers. Breathing heavily, we met with the surviving Jedi and troopers on the demolished, ice-covered terrain for a short while, then returned to base, victorious, to count our losses and prepare for a counter-attack, if there was to be one.
